LT for sure, he can do it all. Shaun Alexander is great but can he throw touchdowns as well? No he can't. LT is the man

Remember the EA Sports Video Game Jinx. Well Shaun Alexander is on the cover this year. So going by the Jinx phenomenon which has happened for the past 5 years, 2001-2006,
Eddie George - 2001
Culpepper - 2002
Faulk - 2003
Vick - 2004
Mcnabb - 2005
Alexander - 2006,
Check out the link it gives you more details.
So because of this, Choose Tomlinson or even better Larry Johnson.

LT by far, have you seen shaun try to catch a pass. In this day and age if you are going to spend a lot of money on a guy you want him to be able to be in the game as much as possible. Shaun is great, he is the mvp. But to me he is still not as good since he can only really do one thing for you. Kind of like drafting a quarterback who can scramble but not pass....oh wait my falcons did that a couple of years ago. /cry

Great question and more than likely this will depend on your particular elagues scoring system. If points per reception are given, then LT would be your best choice, if not then an argument can be made for the sheer power of Larry Johnson or the almost 100% reliable Sean Alexander.
You can find some great discussions on these guys and lots more at:

Simple, Ladanian Tomlinson. This is so for S.A. is going to have a terrible year in 2006-2007. Why? Three words: The Madden Curse. Every time a player has appeared on the cover of the Madden, the NFL video-gaming series, they have had a wretched year after that. Every year this has happened since Madden 2000 released. Barry Sanders Abruptly retired during training camp in 1999.
1999 2000(2) Dorsey Levens Cut by the Packers in 2001 and finished his career as a journeyman player.
2000 2001 Eddie George Key fumble vs. Ravens in playoffs; team lost in Divisional Playoff after losing Super Bowl XXXIV
2001 2002 Daunte Culpepper Missed 5 games in 2001; team missed playoffs after losing NFC Championship in 2000
2002 2003 Marshall Faulk Least productive season as a Ram up to that point; team missed playoffs after losing Super Bowl XXXVI
2003 2004 Michael Vick Missed 11 games in 2003; team missed playoffs after losing Divisional Playoff in 2002
2004 2005 Ray Lewis Critically seen as an off year; team missed playoffs after losing Wild Card Playoff in 2003
2005 2006 Donovan McNabb Missed 7 games in 2005; team missed playoffs after losing Super Bowl XXXIX
2006 2007 Shaun Alexander- Don't expect greatness form him this year. period.

I would take LT. Why? Because I have noticed that THE fantasy stud in one year does not perform to #1 draft pick standards the following year. Priest Holmes, Randy Moss, Daunte Culpepper, Peyton Manning.
My 2 general rules (which I use in football & baseball) above all else are:
1) Don't pick more than one person from your favorite team...no matter what
2) Do not take the top fantasy points performer or Kicker from the previous year except as your 2nd person in that position. I have seen more people burned by drafting the stud the following year than by not drafting him.

i would pick L.T he is faster stronger and can throw run and catch and with out drew Brees he will get the ball more and he gets better every year . Shaun is a great HB but he cant get it all done like L.T L.T makes it happen on the field shaun's LINE! gets it done and if you look at the film L.T does a lott! bye him self and makes the plays happen. Look at the chargers VS the redskins game L.Tin the 2 play in the game he broke a 56yard run in over time 4 the WIN!!!!

This season I would go with Alexander the Great only because the Chargers have a new QB. However this could mean more carries for LT.

Tomlinson, he has a great catching ability and he is faster than alexander. plus he is an all around back who can take hits and still run faster than most of the others. i like what tomlinson has been doing, and i hate the chargers so he must be good for me to like him. Plus he can throw the ball too!
