Me? Dean Cain all the way, though I am curious of the new movie.
The contenders: George Reeves (tv, blk n wht), Christorpher Reeve (4 Supes movies), Dean Cain (Lois and Clark, New Adventures of Superman), or New Movie (don't know actor name yet). Please, no comics or cartoons, thats whole other world.

I did love C. Reeve as kid, grew up in eighties. How could i have forgotten 'Smallville'! Ay he's a hottie! OOOh, i just love supreman! Heehee.

I love the original tv series from the 50's starring George Reeves. Loved it as a kid and now I see its on dvd, and I still love it. Can't beat the original.

I was a big Lois and Clark fan and had a HUGE crush on Dean Cain back in the day...remember those episodes with the Lois clone in which the chick ate frogs? LOL I haven't seen the new movie yet, so I won't say anything about Brandon Routh yet, but have heard great things so far. At present, Superman 2 is my favorite movie, featured Zod, one of the best villains. Love Christopher Reeve. And don't forget Smallville!! As a show, it is starting to grow on me, so I'll throw Tom Welling in there, too.

Ultimately I love Christopher Reeve's performance as Kal-El/Superman. He is Superman to millions of fans around the world and he will surely be missed. As far as TV goes, I can't stand Dean Cain's performance as Superman so I would rather watch Smallville. I am eagerly awaiting for "Superman Returns" and I am willing to give Brandon Routh a chance not like some people who are already bashing him. I will probably be a fan of "Superman Returns" but like I stated earlier, the original Superman movie will be number one in my book.

obvious, chris reeve. I wasn't born when george reeves was on TV. I don't really like Dean Cain, but I like Teri Hatcher as Lois.
As for Brandon Routh, the new guy's name, I will just have to wait until next week to have any thoughts about him.
Still looking forward to the movie, cause I think I might want to see it on IMAX at Cinemark.
