"The Housewives of Mannheim" by Alan Brody "confronts the themes of racism, anti-Semitism, homophobia and gender roles during a time more than 50 years past: 1944," according to a story in the Indiana Student News (see URL, below). The play shows the lives of four women whose husbands are off at war. It is a period piece, and it won the Bloomington Playwrights Project's 2005/2006 Reva Shiner Award, chosen from more than 300 scripts.

If you're only looking for a scene, I suggest "Ascension Day" by Timothy Mason. In whole, it has more than four female characters, but I know for a fact that there are certain scenes with only four girls present. It's a good play, but generally for a younger group of actors and I don't know what age group you're shoting for.
Also, the play "The Young and Fair", by N. Richard Nash is an interesting one which features scenes with only four girls. A group of teenagers at a boarding school, snotty ones and sweet quiet ones alike. Quite fun.

I've got two, you could probably do a spin off of the novel, Little Women, by Lousia May Alcott, the four sisters of the family, Meg, Jo, Beth, and Amy, are the main characters in the story.
Or you could go old school and do A Midsummer Night's Dream by William Shakespeare. You would have Helena, Hermia, Titania, and Hippolyta...

You want a play in which the only roles are female and there are four of them?
I don't know how good it is, but: Suburban Femme Fatales And The Great Sports Bar Caper

If you can convince one of the four women to produce, direct, or design costumes/lights/sound instead, I've got the play to beat all plays. Eric Overmyer's "On the Verge (or, the Geography of Yearning)" is a magical mystery tour through space and time, and has three women's roles that any actress would KILL to play...!

Steel Magnolias would be perfect, but I'm personally tired of that show and don't care too much for it. I think I've seen it too many times. lol You could also do a Little Women adaption.

"Five Women Wearing the Same Dress" by Alan Ball (you'd have to pick up another female)
"The Women" by Clare Boothe Luce (has a good sized cast other than just females)
