the question says it all. im looking for something with about 256 mb RAM, a decent enough video card to play some decent games. i am on a budget of $165.00. plz help.

Try E-bay, or your nearest refurbished computer store. Also, i hear the guy on the corner has a great deal.

I agree with ipshwitz. If you are seeking a laptop that works for $165.00, it's gonna have to be an inside job like someone you know who will give you a real deal.

Wow, people are suggesting ebay, craigslist, etc but none of them have stated the true obvious.
You aren't going to find one. You will find laptops at the price you are mentioning, but it won't do what you are asking.

for decent games your going to need above 256, try ebay or craigslist.

did you try amazon.com? what about ebay.com?
Have you thought about just going to a computer store and ask the folks working there, if they sell used computers?
