It has something to do with the area they live in. Body types are based on climate, landscape, food, and way of life. Like Eskimo's for an extreme example, they are short and chubby because their diet consist of mostly fish and to be short and fat gives you a smaller body area to keep you warm. Where as in Africa the natives are tall and skinny giving them longer body area to keep them cool in hot climates. These are extreme examples but the same applies to European white people, but it is not as noticeable because American white people come from Europe, but our features have changed over time because of food, climate and living conditions. It all boils down to where people originated and evolved from.

Pretty much the are different. Why? Because in America, many white americans are descendants of white europeans. And for centuries they marry other descendants of other europeans which produce different quality in their DNA. For example, if an Irish descendant married a Russian descendant, their offspring will have both qualities of both parents.
While in Europe, most europeans tend to marry those who are from their country, like a german marry a german, or swedish marry a swedish. It's not to say that the europeans doesn't have any multicultural marriage, it's just that it's a fact, locals marry locals unless they depart their area and marry someone from another localities.
And then you have to factored in current living conditions and climate, economy and their personal habits.

USians typically eat more junk food, cook less at home, don't walk or bike for utility pretty much ever, and often live in suburban areas that isolate them, thus leading to far less cultural interest in living in a healthy manner. it's really a no-brainer. and climate is irrelevant, since Europeans have essentially the same range of climates.

I'm sure food and climate both play a part but maybe its because we are a more mixed population as far as ethnic background. We are a blended variety. lol

over time, diversity has devolped over the people. There has been a study that showed that depending on the relation to the equator at someone lived, that would be their skin color (farthrer away=whiter) (closer=darker). This is because the amount of radiation the area recieves. The more radiation=darker. Of course there isn't much difference, so i would also think that it would be the diet of the people...
(My mom thinks that it is carbonated drinks and chips but she doesn't say where...)

The melting pot effect. We have alot more diverse family trees, such as Native American, Irish, German, Mexican, etc. etc.. Our gene pool is greater.
