I guess it is not the cool anymore. That is sad.

Liberals/leftist/democrats/celebrities think that supporting the troops is de facto support of the government. And that goes against every grain of their socialist bodies.

I think overall people are supporting the troops. What is sad is that the media is twisting things to make it appear we do not support the troops, and that the troops are not worthy of support. When was the last time the media reported on someone's life being save by our troops, I haven't heard of it yet.

Because people are stupid enough to listen to the liars within the major news media. Have you ever seen a story of the good things we are doing over there. NO. The only thing they think is news worthy is how bad we are treating the inmates in Gitmo prison. The news media has deliberately angered the people of America so we won't support our troops. This is the same crap they pulled during the Vietnam war. Stop listening to the jack asses in the news media, they don't have either your best interest or this countrys' best interest in mind.

There is support for the troops. Support that they make it home soon and safely. Support that the troops can manage without being hopelessly maimed and driven insane, much like 'Nam. The only ones who don't care about the troops, or the country for that matter, is good ol' Dubya.

I suppose it isn't. I can say though, I am currently over in great old Baghdad and maybe there isn't a lot that you see in the states, but we get letters from schools, churchs, and especially from home. We all try to be our own support, but it's sad to see that not many people are thinking about us anymore. Maybe they think the war is over, guess what? Us over here know it's not. In response to Stormy, you are right, there is a lot of stuff that we are doing over here that you won't hear. There is a lot of good too, and unfortunatly, you will never hear about it. Thank you all for your continuing support. Hopefully we will all be home soon!

It only appears that way because the Left Wing controls the media, and this forum. There are still plenty of us that support our troops, just not the liberals.

We all support the troops, just not the mission. We just want them home, but the GOP controlled Senate just bagged the resolution to have them home by years end. Want to support the troops, vote in November for anyone who wants them home.

I think that most people do support our troops. I feel that I do.
The ribbons are not as evident because the war has gone on so long and thats what happens when people get used to something they tend to just blend it in to their everyday lives.

Look around, there are tons of yellow ribbons on the back of SUV's.

I mean we really support the troops, so much we send them to war without enough body armor or armored vehicles.

You're kidding right.

I don't think people stopped supporting our troops rather than people stopped supporting the war.
