Most hosts will give you email accounts for free as part of the plan. If your host is not doing this for you, look for different hosting. Yes, you can always use web interfaced email (yahoo or whatever) but obtaining email accounts that are interfaced with your domain gives you way more control.
You will be able to name your accounts however you please like
( me@mydomain.com ) and you can setup pop3 protocol which allows you work out of your email client (Outlook- Eudora - whatever) on your desktop where filtering is far better than web based email applications.
Hope this helps!
