Take your pig to the vets and find out if he's getting enough vitamin C in his diet. Some animals can manufacture vit C, guinea pigs can't and need large amounts in their diet.
Or it could be skin parasites, which also need to be treated by a vet.

Sarah C is correct - Guinea Pigs do suffer skin problems if they don't get enough vitamin C in their diet, it can make them very dry skinned & uncomfortable. They are prone to getting parasites from their bedding (down side of using hay & straw) but this can be treated with an injection if need be by the vet or by various skin washes depending on the parasite. If you keep you guinea pigs in an area where there are lots of foxes it is possible that they could have picked up mange - foxes rub against the cages & runs which then passes the mange on to the rabbit or guinea pig in the cage. Again, your vet should be able to treat this, but with guinea pigs being so suseptable to illness it is better to get it treated sooner rather than later!

A little bit of history would help. What is the nature of the problem, baldness, itching, wounds...? Is the guinea pig eating well, drinking well, are others affected? Have you changed the bedding recently? What is it's sex?
In my experience the most common problems are mites (mange)which cause itching, flaky skin and baldness, fight wounds, most often inflicted by rabbits, and hormonal problems in female guinea pigs. All other suggestions above are also strong possibilities and I have also rarely seen lice.
Ideally you need to get each diagnosed and treated by a vet.

we had the same problem with ours, the vet said it was skin mites most likely from the straw/hay we used as bedding or could be passed on by the parents.she told us to put some drops behind there head every couple of weeks and that should help. the drops we use is called spot on and you can buy it from most pet shops.

This is a vet question.
It could be a nutritional deficiency. It could be an allergy. He could be sensitive to the kind of bedding he is on. It could also be parasites (mites/lice).
