This is not uncommon, in fact, it's pretty much right on. Babies turn head down in the womb way before they are actually born. Their size often inhibits them from turning later on. You have nothing to worry about until lightning and engaging occurs. This is the process of the baby descending into the lower pelvic area. Also known as "dropping." I hope this was helpful! Try to relax and enjoy your pregnancy.

Yeah, that is common about now. You might find the baby actually moves out of position and back in again over the next few weeks. When you go to the doc to have the US results ask what they think, just to reassure you.
The US tech. should have also checked your cervix and would have commented in the report on if it was nice and long like it should be for 28 weeks. This will help avoid an unnecessary internal exam now, since you don't usually start getting internal exams until week 36.

My boy was born at 26 weeks, he also was not in the right position, but with our DR.s being able to help make miracles happen, I am sure they will not let your baby be born with anything wrong, the way technology is these days you have nothing to worry about, plus a nice long prayer would not hurt . I will be praying for you too. Dont worry, have faith, and trust in GOD, and your Doctor. Good Luck.

my son flipped early too...
keep in mind, dates are NEVER accurate. You and your doc could think you are 28 weeks but baby may think she's 30!! I think that they flip to give themselves a little room, you need the room too. My son ALWAYS sat VERY low. Just take some extra time to relax the next few weeks...prop your feet up and don't stress about it...she's doing what is natural to her...and did you ask your doc?

it sound like your baby has dropped it is a good think do you feel like you can breath again? My babies both dropped at about 30 weeks and were born at 36 weeks and 40 weeks so just think of it as a count down now 8 weeks - 12 weeks left

Rirht now your baby has alot of room to filp and move around. S/he will probably move out of the right poistion and back into it many times before s/he is born. Only 4% of babies born in the united states are breech (butt first)!!

I just had my baby and he stayed in position when I was 32 weeks. And there is a posibility she could pop out. Is she locked into place yet? Mine was in locked position and he poped back out and that was a painful experience to go through and after I turn 21 I am having my tubes tide.

Babies flip back and forth all the time, it can happen for weeks to come. As long as your baby didnt drop down its totally normal.

yes, it's normal, and yes the baby could turn between now and your duedate, but it doesn't happen that often. You'll likely start having more kicks in your ribs now that the baby is in the head down position.
