You have to first estimate how much all of that is going to cost.
Then you break up that cost per month. (eg., rent/month = ?, car payment/month = ?)
Then you try to get a job that covers all your expenses.
You will probably need to make around 2000/month.
At your age, I would suggest college or a roommate to split the cost of rent.

Where do you want to live? Are you planning on a roommate or two?
Let me put it to you this way: my local newspaper did a study, and they found to live in Orange County, NY (about 1 hour north of NYC) the average person needs to have an income of $19.19 an hour, working 40 hours a week, just to break even on a one-bedroom apartment. Obviously, if you live in Montana or someplace like that, it's not going to be the same dollar amount. If you live around Los Angeles, it'll be more.

Depends on how you want to live, location, and what your interests are, and how much you actually use for food.
If this is your first time moving out, I reccommend at least putting 2 months of reserves in the bank before you move out, like an emergency acct.
Plan on if you are eating out or buying groceries.
Find out if there are furnished apt's in your area, or if you need to buy furniture.
Make sure your apt has rental insurance.
figure out your debt to income ratio.. (how much money you spend / how much money you make) make sure you're not over 50%, try to be at about 49% for comfot.. no penny pinching!!
GOOD LUCK!

depends on the cost of living in your area. It's tough though, I'm 23, work as a chemist and I can still hardly make ends meet.
