I met Bruce Springsteen back in the late 1980's. I was in NJ with my boyfriend at the time and he was a huge fan. We drove past his house in Rumson, NJ about 4 or 5 times and then we saw 2 people jogging. One was Bruce and the other was a body guard. We stopped and Bruce ran and hid behind some trees. My boyfriend begged him to come out from behind the trees and he did. It took about 5 - 10 minutes of begging. We took photos and he signed autographs. It was okay, being that I was not a big fan of his, but my boyfriend was in heaven.
Now years later, I am still in contact with my ex, he worked for Bruce doing something on tour with him. It had to do with the sound aspect of it.

I think I have the lamest "brush with a celebrity" story ever. I was at a grand opening for a mall in the mid '80's and they had some of the cast there from MASH. I got to shake hands with Larry Linville. That's Major Burns to you.

President George W. Bush...ok he wasn't president when I met him. I was the campaign manager for my county when he ran for governor in Texas. Had a fundraising dinner for him. Incidentally, after winnning the election he called me at home, a 20 minute conversation, thanking me for my hard work :-) I asked him when he was going to run for President, he said, "Let me take care of Texas first."
