What happens to people after they die?

I have cancer and during a surgery I was declared dead and it was then I went through what you may term as an out of body experience. It was so peaceful there that I just did not want to re enter my physical body. However I never saw the light at the end of any tunnel.

After death comes judgement;
there are 2 destinations for your eternity: Heaven or the Lake of fire... Where you end up is what you chose right now on earth and not a calculation of how much good VS evil you did. You either chose heaven (by becoming a child of God) or well, hell is where everyone goes if they don't chose not to!!!

Your Addams Family lays you out, a little sandalwood "curing", body has been washed, lightly oiled with musky scents and wrapped head to toe in some sari-like material. Family sits "Shiva" as it were, for one night of subdued revelry and recollections of the deceased. Guests disperse leaving a few designated loved ones, female or male. One is sent to fetch the skiff and the rest carefully move the deceased onto said skiff. Off you go in a cloud of early morning sea spray to a considerable distance seaward. After a last tearful goodbye, the remains are positioned so that the wraps can be held and unraveled as the earthly remains are confined to the fishes.

and terrible fishes to seize my flesh
such as a living man might fear
and eat me while I'm firm and fresh

This is really simple. You have two choices. Heaven or Hell. There is only one God and we ALL have to answer to Him. This body that we have is just a shell, our spirit will live FOREVER somewhere. When we die, our spirit leaves our bodies and we either go to be with Him or we don't. The rich man in the parable that Jesus spoke of where Lazurus was at the gate begging, when the rich man died, he instantly went to hell and begged God to send him back so that he could tell his friends and family of this awful place. their bodies rot.
after that it depends on the deceased culture, most go to the ground
some are burned and their ashes are scattered or put in a vase.
some are donated to medical scholls to end on class tables in anatomy labs.
some are donated to other people to plant in them and i think thats the best end.

I believe they stand face-to-face with God, who then decides on whether they pass through the pearly gates or not. If not, I believe they burn in hell for eternity.

um....that all really depends on how you spent this life and what not. your spirit/soul goes up to Jesus and then He determines whether you go to Heaven or Hell. hope this helps and God bless u.

they drain your blood and inject you with formaldahyde,wash you clean you out, do your hair and dress you ,then they put you in a coffin and nail down the lid,you are then either burnt or buried.

If you are saved, you go to Heaven and spend eternity with God or you go to Hell and burn with Satan, if you aren't saved.
