do you really think that is possible. The way the stove is built is only for electric... you are better off buying a new stove, and sell the electric one to make up the difference.

A gas and an electric stove are completely two different appliances. I am assuming that you really mean that you want to get rid of the electric stove and install a gas one in its place.

The first thing you will need to do is get a gas line installed in your house. And this is only possible if you have gas service in your neighborhood. Once thats done you will need to install a standard 120V recepticle on the wall behind the stove. This will be for the purpose of powering the clock and spark igniter.

Running gas pipe is not for the average DIY type of person. This type of work should only be conducted by a professional.

Unless you are in a rural area there may be a restrictions on gas storage tanks if you do not have natural gas.

If you have natural gas it is illegal for you to make a connection. Any connection must be accomplished at the direction of the supply pipe owner - normally the gas utility.

You cannot convert an electric stove to gas. You must replace the stove

Grrrr to that second answer.

Certainly you can convert.

Contact the local utility company, that services Nat gas or propane tank gas customers in your area.. You will have to purchase a gas stove however.

The process means running gas lines etc, but if that's what you prefer, I suggest Nat. gas is more economical, and once you get used to it, you'll be just as happy as with any alternative.

Too much of a hassle. You'd be better off just buying a gas stove.
