There is no undergraduate degree in Medicine in the US.

The usual course of study is that a student gets a four year undergraduate degree in a related field like Biology or Chemistry. Technically, there is no preset major -- but there are several courses that are considered required to get into medicine.

After getting an undergraduate degree, the student takes another four years to get an MD. At this point, the student is a medical doctor. He then enters an internship/residence program that takes another three to five years. For course, he gets paid for this.

In the UK it takes 5 or 6 years usually. 2 years sounds very short - you might not get trained very well. Most university courses are 3 or 4 years long, but medicine includes some years of clinical practice - i.e. time where you practice working in a hospital etc.

Not in the US. Medical school is a Graduate school. You need a four year Bachelor degree (preferable from an US college) and take the MCAT exam before you can apply. Few US medical schools accept international students
