If you're unsure that it is actually negative, just go to your doctors and have them test you.

Depends on the prenancy test, when you tested. How long has it been since you missed your period? if it's been a month or close to it, maybe it's just nerves on why you haven't started yet. Maybe it's wrong.

There are always possibilities for a "false-negative" however, you should know, "false-positives" are rare.

Most home pregnancy tests are fairly sensitive, and *should* pick up a pregnancy at the time of a missed period. However, there are a couple of things that can go wrong, including user error, and an hcg level that is just a little too low to register for that particular test.

Also, test again in a few days, make sure you are testing at FIRST URINE. The HCG level is the highest at that time...

Most pregnancy test are accurate, but you have to read the instructions and do exactly as it says. Not all test are the same. It is always best to go to the doctors to make sure so they can give you the right prenatal vitamins. especially if you are anemic. If it is a planned pregnancy great, if not then most give you options these days.( I hope I do NOT offend anyone there.) I know when i was pregnant with my last one it was not planned and they gave me options. Of course, one turned out to be two and they are great to have in my life. So, always get a doctors opinion, is my advice. I know i took many test and then saw not one doctor but two before i told the father.

Over the counter pregnancy test are pretty accurate, however sometimes the test result aren't as clear as it states on the box.

If you still have doubts on the result, you can always go to the doctor and they can draw some blood and run the test, the blood test is very accurate and shouldn't be wrong.

The pregnancy tests are fairly accurate nowadays. Most of the manufacturers of the test claim their tests are 97-99% accurate.

Your body either has human chorionic gonadotrophin found in the urine or not.

I personally wanted two different home tests when I found out I was pregnant and then the doctor's office did another urine test and then the blood test.

I had a false negative using EPT, so did a good friend of mine. So those I don't trust. However, these things are usually fairly accurate IF you're testing after a missed period, or at least 17-19 days after ovulation. When in doubt go get checked out. That's my mantra. Good luck!

Depends on the test. If it was an over-the-counter test, I wouldn't trust it completely. Wait two to three weeks and do another test. If it's still negative, then you're very likely okay. However, if you must know before then, go to a Planned Parenthood office and have a test done there. If you can't afford to pay, they have a program that will pay for you.

Depends which test you took and how long have you been over due- they are generally 95-98% accurate and if done after a week, they are 100% correct

It depends on how far along you could be and what time of day you took the test. You should take the test in the morning and make sure you could be at least 3-4 week pregnant.

There are usually VERY VERY accurate, IF you take it anytime after your missing period. Only it does not work for a very small percentage of women that produces very low pregnancy hormones (in which case they usually need to be treated to keep the pregnancy).
