I want to have my twins naturally. It is very important that my husband is with me.I want to feel the love of having my child but not hurt so bad that I hate it and scream at my husband. He is so supportive and is going through all my pregnancy symptons already. He is so excited about the twins(boys),so I don't want to be one of those "bitchy" mothers in labor.Help me!!!

Relax. No matter how much you prepare, you can't prepare. I've had 6 - some were easy, some nightmare labors. If you scream and go insane and say not-nice things, it will be for just a few hours. Tell your husband not to downplay your pain (it's not so bad, you'll be fine, that was a weak contraction, etc), and if you tell him to stop doing something (like giving you a massage or something) to stop immediately. You'll be fine, so will he, and the kids will be wonderful!

I hate to tell you this but there is no way to predict how you will act in labor. Some labors are very painful others are not. Until you are in active labor you never know how you or your body is going to react.
The best thing you can do is have a birthing plan and a supportive "coach" if you are trying to go natural and start practicing some relaxation techniques and have a plan for what you will do if X happens so that you have a few different scenarios. Especially since it is twins and I"m sure you've heard that twins end up C-section a lot. I would try hypnobirthing if it was me.
Good luck.

I would suggest walking as much as possible...swimming too. Keeping your body in shape is a great start. Labor is painful, but is worth it. I would also suggest being able to move, walk, squat during labor. Try not to let the nurses keep you laying flat on your back in bed...that is the most painful way to go through labor. Also, if there is a labor pool in the birthing room that you will be in...don't be afraid to use it if at any point you feel like you can no longer handle the pain. A FANTASTIC book on the subject of labor and delivery is 'The Birthing Book' by author last name Sears. I have loaned this book out to so many women...I just bought another off of Amazon.com for me to reread. I am due in December with our third and planning a homebirth for the first time (you can bet there will be no pain meds there;-). God bless you and your family!

Being physically fit, esp your toned stomach muscles. If you dno't have them already, I doubt you can get them during pregnancy. Everyone is different, level of pain is different, level of endurance to pain is different. So what is going to happen during delivery? Anyone's guess. You should prepare your husband, he'll forget about it. Also, with twins, you may have a good chance of needing a c-section, then there is no pain during, just a lot after.

Use the Bradley method of natural childbirth. I have used it 4 times. Try to find Bradley classes in your area. Read the book, Natural Childbirth the Bradley Way. It really works. Please try to find a doctor that will not give a routine c-sec. for twins, some doctors do.

If your going to have the twins naturally, it's going to hurt. Your going to hate the pain, but your going to feel so overwhelmed with happiness in having your husband by your side when your babies are born. It's well worth it. Best wishes!

make sure you do a lot of walking while pregnant (all nine months)I heard this will help a lot. Also try taking a lamaza class and talk to other woman who are moms. But make sure you ask your doctor before you do anything. Plus ask your doctor for some things you can do. Good Luck and Congradulations!!!

Depending on the weight of the babies and circumstances at the time of delivery you may not be able to deliver naturally. However, in the meantime eat healthy and consult your doctor about the possibility of natural child birth. He/she is your best source for the safety of you and your babies. Good luck.

Getting yourself educated about labour n Breathing thats the best way.it wil help u relax ease out muscular tension and hence reduce pain.
it s like breaking a viscious cycle of fear -tension -pain

Bodies natural response to fear is either fight or flight,so ur muscles become tense n tight n then pain sets in ur entire body, also the pain of contractions is already there.yes u have to accept that this pain is not going so accept it n learn to deal with it.also fear of the unknown is there.so ask ur midwife to brief u up of the stages of labour how it will progress.

breathing helps u 2 relax n let nature do its work.
u wil have to checkout if you can join a lamaze class with your hubby to learn the breathing techniques and useful comfort measures to ease u out in labour.

All the best.

I am not a doctor but I believe if you dialate the viginal area on a daily basis. start small like with a screwdriver handle then work your way up to a flashlight and then a baseball bat. When you have worked your way up to taking two baseball bats at once, you will be ready to deliver your twins with very little effort at all. This will also provent the need for an apesiatomy.
