The only truly stupid question is the one that is not asked, though some questions are less valuable than others. As for looking up the answers, that is a valid and valuable skill, because even with web search engines one needs to have a good idea of what is being searched and where to find it, if only to select the right keywords. It's called "research," friend. Not all of us are weenies like Cliff Clavin of "Cheers".
I often research my answers to add details I may have forgotten or did not know.

I just know the basics of baseball, though you didn't phrase the question in regard to either the rules, player's conduct, or any particulars of the sport.
And any 'ignorant and foolish questions' are such as they pertain to the questioner who is embarrassed by them.
So if you think you're so high and mighty in regard to the sport of baseball, maybe it could be that you're afraid of being proved wrong!

Some of the silly questions are alright because they can be fun to answer, but others are just plain inappropriate. As for the searching your answers on the web thing, I don't even know why Yahoo added it. It's cheating! When I ask question I want peoples' honest thoughts and opinions, not what I could have just looked up for myself on the web.

I totally agree with you, I just can't stand all these questions about Tball, and Softball in the "Baseball" section. They're not even real sports. Plus all these people asking about players' stats when they could be looking them up on mlb.com or something.

Well, aren't you the ******** prick I have ever met. I think someone needs to come off their pedastal a little bit. You could just be very polite and civilized instead being a pompous, arrorgant prick.
