Piracy/Plundering/Imperialism/Neo-colonialism! Forget your history, and you'll keep repeating the tragedies of the past! Remember Tony Blair said that "terrorism and disarmament go hand in hand" when asked how the search for bin Laden (who boasted responsibility for 911) became a quest for Saddam. I think he means that plundering and the natives' or inhabitants' capabilities for self-defense do not go hand in hand. Just remember Thomas Gage and Francis Smith and their mission of April 18, 1775 in North America! To ensure plundering, they were to seize and destroy all artilleries and ammunitions found! Intimidating and plundering is the customary revenue generation for the Imperialistic British government and, sadly, the USA government!

I'm simply a born Thinker. Just how do you, for heaven's sake, liberate a people by killing them, destroying their properties and disabling their economy? In their degenerate minds, the world is their colony! Remember history! Can't fool everybody!

Don't mind CottonPatch. Your question is very explicit! Of course, the pattern is obvious, now that you've invoked history! It's indeed customary - the bully always trying to intimidate in order to plunder! I sure do hope everyone sees your dot-connecting.

Where here is a situation where I think you are comparing apples to oranges. The actions taken, the causes for them, and the methods followed a very different. This is a case where you are making connections that don't exist. American actions in modern day Iraq are more like the Barbary Pirates Wars under the Administration of Thomas Jefferson than the American Revolution. We were right then to take action and we were right now (in Iraq) to take action. There are plenty of mistakes that have been made with Iraq - but our actions there are more like our thoughts in defeating Nazi Germany than they are in our War for Independence.

I hope you put more thought into your next question.

It's just simply a coincidence because Bush wanted to get his hands on some of that black Iraqi gold so he could have his oil buddies to get their share of the pie. That's what the '03 invasion of Iraq was about! O-I-L! Oil! Bush is _too_ greedy for his own good because of this!
