Sometimes I wonder about the percentage. Alot of uneducated adults out there. So I guess you can't always assume it's kids. You know, the folks that don't give really any form of an answer. Just a bunch of jibberish trash talk. Not funny or creative. Just trash talk. If only one could get a statistic on that. Would be interesting. Would probably be a waste of time and money for a professional statistician to do the study anyways. I would guess it's about 50-50. Just think, you see these people in public and you don't even think that they are the types that do that kind of stuff. Probably a whole lot of them. Makes me lose faith in humanity. Or human intelligence altogether.

Yes, I totally agree. But don't lose faith in humanity yet - most of the intelligent people are out working trying to make the world a better place - that's why they're not here to post intelligent answers. No offense to those who use Yahoo Answers - I know there are a lot of people - maybe the 50% you mentioned - who are sincere in their answers and questions (and are intelligent enough to ask a decent question with correct spelling and grammar) - but the other 50% (old or young) are just here to put their trashy 2 cents in because they don't have anything else to do.

There are a lot of people out here who have a lot of problems and who are just plain bored. There are times when I see things that people have written over the Internet that makes me want to toss my cookies. Most of the insulting answers are done by people who desperately need attention because they don't get enough in their personal lives. On this website there was an individual who put up the most sick questions that I've ever seen and when no one responded he just got more and more depraved with the questions. I won't even repeat them because they were that sick. It makes you wonder what kind of mind would even dream up sick things like that so I just chalked it up to the person being mentally ill. It is all very sad.

I wouldn't exactly begin to lose faith in humanity. Intelligence? Probably so. It's frightening but I think there are quite a few adults on here answering more than kids.

I imagine a kid walking along the beach, out of so many pebbles it picks very few, why because it likes only few.
you choose what you want, all are enjoying there new found freedom on the net. It is far far better than other silly things.
You just imagine if all of us choose to write serious lengthy answers......how it will be. You will stop reading.....

I don't think age has anything to do with it. These types of comments are usually just written by pathetic individuals who can't get attention in life any other way. They're the type of people who nobody took to prom and who usually protest at the funerals of dead soldiers and gays with "God Hates Fags" signs. That's the price we have to pay for easily accessible forums/posts and free speech I guess.

could be anyone who has anger problems or forgot their meds. i forget my meds, but when i do i get banned from the computer. if they can't say anything beyond "you are stupid/gay, thanx for the 2 pts", they should stop typing and find a job. who wants to compete for 2 points? I like to answer the questions.
