I bought one of those for my neice a year or so ago. She absolutely loved it at the time, especially being treated as the one in charge and making all the decisions. But I'm not sure it was worth the money for a kid who then is likely to forget about it within a few weeks. Probably more worth it for an adult for a special occassion (e.g., wedding).

Hey it is great, i took my wife and the staff are very nice, it was in springfield, mo. They have a lot of different animals to choose from and there so many clothes it is unreal you can dress it anyway you can pretty much imagine, and the prices are very resonable to what you would pay for a stuffed animal, also they make it so special and fun because you do certain things and when they actually stuff it they ask you if you want it hard or soft, and you get to put different things inside of it such as hearts or stars, the staff will ask you to make a wish and dance around that is what is funny, then they place the objects inside and sew it up. After that you'll go to the name machine and print out the birthcertificate, then head home basically

Build-A-Bear, who know has a build a doll as well in some areas. I've taken my nieces there and they had a blast. Many things to choose from a bear to a dog and of course all the accessories. Rather on the expensive side as far as I'm concerned but I guess if you can customize something it always cost more.

build a bear...it is awesome
you can pick out what animal and you get to fill it and pick out its clothes
its a lot of money for one stuffed animal but it is well worth it for a kid to make their own best friend
its even better to watch kids as they make the stuffed animal, they seem so happy and innocent

i made one for an old boyfriend. it was a lot of fun... there are so many things to choose from, including little sounds and stuff. it really is very cool. kind of expensive, but definitely worth it... expensive because of all the add-ons you can get.

yea!! i have!!! its awesome...my hubby got me a bear for our first valentines day there...u get to pick ur bear and they stuff it and u get a heart and u rub on ur heart and head ( i think i cant remember) so it can be sweet and smart...its really cute...then u get to dress it up and make a birth certificate with the name u pick...check it out on www.BuildABear.com
