Heart rate is completely independent of gender. It tells you nothing one way or the other.

A nurse told me when I was pregnant that sometimes you can tell the sex with the heartrate. Girls tend to have higher heart rates than boys. I think the range is 130-140 is boy and 150-160 is girl. I had twins and their heartrates stayed at 165 the whole pregnancy. I had girls so based on this I bet its a girl, but you never know.

According to the way I have always heard it, it means you are having a girl. Although every time I go in to have the heart checked mine is at 150 or so. My ultrasound said I was having a boy. I don't think the heart rate is as reliable as we give it credit for on determining the gender.

I have 5 children, with all of my pregnancies, the heart rate was around 140-155, I have 4 girls, 1 son. The fetal heart rate is not an indication of a babies sex. Congratulations on a healthy baby. That's all that matters anyhow. :)

the heart rate really doesn't have anything to do with the sex of a baby.
it use to be an old wives tail that if the heartrate was fast it was a girl if the heart rate was slower it was a boy. but there's no medical facts that this is actually true.
you'll just have to wait for an ultrasound...and then you'll have a clearer picture...ultrasounds aren't 100% acurate all the time but you might have a better hint to what the sex of your baby will be.

Old wives tale says high like 160 is a girl. Sorry. With my first two a boy and a girl it worked but with this one the heartbeats are low like a boy but ultrasound looks like a girl so who knows lol
Best to not get your mind set on either one.
Congratulations :)

You can't tell by the heartbeat all that means is that your baby has a strong heart my baby heart was good it went up to 170 180 but it was a BOY the LOVE of my LIFE!

The higher heart beats are usually girls, but that isn't always true. Its a 50/50 with the heartbeats

I was told this and read it somewhere just don't remember where. If the heart rate is below 139 i think that it's a boy... if it's above it, it's a girl.... I read it somewhere just don't remember where
