While Jehovah's Witnesses frown upon marrying outside the faith, there is no real "punishment" for doing so. Witness family and friends may choose not to attend the ceremony, but that is a personal decision and the couple will not be ostracized by the Christian congregation afterward.
Jehovah's Witnesses have a fine reputation for solid family life. Christian wives are taught to respect and obey their husbands, subject to secular and godly laws. While a Christian wife will insist upon attending her congregation meetings and engaging in field ministry, she is also required to pay attention to the practical needs of her household and family.
She will not join in patriotic or false religious celebrations, such as Christmas and birthdays. She will try to instill godly standards in her children. She will pray before eating and going to sleep, and at other times.
Perhaps most interesting of all, a Christian wife will hope that her husband join her in true worship:
(1 Peter 3:1-4) You wives, be in subjection to your own husbands, in order that, if any are not obedient to the word, they may be won without a word through the conduct of their wives, because of having been eyewitnesses of your chaste conduct together with deep respect. ...Your adornment... let it be the secret person of the heart in the incorruptible apparel of the quiet and mild spirit, which is of great value in the eyes of God
With regard to the slanderous anti-Witness answers:
Jehovah's Witnesses are taught not to use sexual blackmail or withhold the marital sexual "due":
(1 Corinthians 7:3) Let the husband render to his wife her due; but let the wife also do likewise to her husband.
Jehovah's Witnesses must preach and teach publicly, but that CANNOT replace family obligations.
(Titus 2:4,5) Recall the young women to their senses to love their husbands, to love their children, to be sound in mind, chaste, workers at home, good, subjecting themselves to their own husbands, so that the word of God may not be spoken of abusively.
Jehovah's Witnesses do NOT eschew medical treatment for themselves or family members. The Apostle Luke himself was a physician!
(Colossians 4:14) Luke the beloved physician
Jehovah's Witnesses recognize the benefits of sports, and often engage and watch.
(1 Timothy 4:8) Bodily training is beneficial
(1 Corinthians 9:24) Do you not know that the runners in a race all run, but only one receives the prize?
Jehovah's Witnesses do not require or even suggest tithing. Contributions are voluntary, private, and discreet.
Incidentally, Jehovah's Witnesses do observe wedding anniversaries. It might be best to remember that one since you don't have anything for Christmas or birthdays!

but , you should know better since you know her and plan to marrie her.
just think about it.

Scary. Be sure that if you decide to have children that you are NEVER in a position where you cannot make medical decisions for them. Jehovah's Witnesses let injured children die rather than seek appropriate medical attention. I would recommend against converting if at all possible. You have my condolences.

you can expect her expecting you to become a jahovah witness as well. honestly, these people dont give up and if you ever have children, they would have to go to the jehovahs society as well. then, if she gets hurt and needs blood in the hospital, she will refuse it and die. you can expect her going from house to house persuading people to join in. and having "parties" with other jehovahs withnesses. and no celebrations of crhitstian or pagan or any holiday

no christmas gifts..those jahovah witness' are some weird people..they don't celebrate ANY holiday, don't go to any kind of social function, its actually quite scary. BUT, its a way to save money I guess, because she will never buy you a gift on those occassions. I think its actually a ploy to be a cheapskate ;)
Their religion is cult like, as with all other religions.

Well shouldn't you ask HER instead of us. Talk to her about her beliefs and find out if there's anything that you can't deal with. DO IT BEFORE you get married. Best wishes.

Trouble especially when it comes to raising kids. If you have a religion and it is important to you you might want to rethink this.
