in the box, it makes more suspenseful.

Only take it out of the box if you're going to do something special with it ~ like putting it in a champagne glass or baking it into a dessert or something like that. Otherwise, present the ring with the box open.
OK ~ you've asked a lot of questions about proposals. When are you popping the question?? ;-)

Propose with the ring in the box so that you are not fishing around for it while you are down on one knee...

In if it's a gorgeous box that shows off the beauty of the ring; out if the box is cardboard with cotton in the bottom.

I think this is a personal preference. I proposed with the ring in a rose!

It depends on the set-up. For example, I saw a customized vanilla sweet cake decorated very lovely. The lady thought she was at a normal nice dinner, but when she took the decorations off of the little tiny cake to eat it (it was a little glass top).....a ring was inside. It was so beautiful. It wasn't in a box, but I guess the excitement of uncovering something pretty makes your heart race. It's more surreal.!!!!!! Box....cake.....just make me faint!!! (smile)

You keep it in the box, and then open the box to show her the ring. Then you put it on her finger if she say yes. Good Luck and Congratulations!

Theres no right or wrong one on that. Ive had a friend tell me her husband snuck a wrapped box in with her birthday presents and then another Friend said her bf wore hers on his pinky finger till she noticed it and she was like "whats that?" and he was like jumpin up and down going" OMG OMG what it is? " But he was a jokester but ive also heard of men dropping the ring in a champain glass as he pruposes so its all in the eventful, romantic way that best portrays you and your love. BUT remember that , that momemt is a momemt she will forever remember so.....make it memorable. GOOD LUCK

You can propose in whatever way you want to.
My husband put my engagement ring inside of a fortune cookie(no idea how he did that) and got down on bended knee....since we love Chinese food.It was so cute!

Either. At least having a ring is good. (I picked out my own 2 yrs after the wedding and ended up using our tax return to pay for it. He picked it up and handed it to me in the car with the kids & my visiting sister with us & said "Here you go.") How romantic.
