Yes! Agreed.
You're right, it only causes drama in life! :P Who needs drama?
It doesn't encourage very much GOOD, that's for sure. Among other things already mentioned, it seems to help encourage opposite-sex friendships and even flirting - very, very DESTRUCTIVE for those people who are already in relationships. That's opening yourselves and your relationship up for trouble.
As far as the safety issue of "My Space"...the opportunity MS provides isn't at ALL unlike the opportunity you have on AOL or other social-networking services and places on the internet. People need to be careful everywhere these days! It's not the smartest idea to share any info you don't want being completely public including school/work name, photos, or whatever. Even if the info is only visible to a trusted group of people, technology cannot guarantee safety of the info. A friend could unwittingly share it with someone inappropriate or someone else could log into their account and access it. Of course it's unlikely, but it's certainly possible...just see the news for examples.
And WHY would you need the world (or a group) to see you tell your friend "Vacation was the best" or "let's get together this weekend" possibly using some codewords that are very meaningful to you and your friends but is meaningless and ultimately dismissingly-adolescent to everyone else? How teenager. Not that being a teenger is a bad thing, but for those who want to be perceived as a mature individual worthy of responsibility, how you communicate and with whom is a point worth some thoughtful decision.
:)

Nah, I only have 7 friends on there and they're only people I know. It's just a fun way to keep in touch for me. I don't put a ton of personal info like what I am up to on mine anyway because I would rather not have the whole world knowing my business. (Not that they're interested.)

Yeah I know, too much drama and myspace stalking. I've known couples that have even fought over stupid myspace. I wish I could cancel my account if it wasn't so darn addictive.

Yeah I do! All my friends have it and they all want me to get one. I tried to get one and it was so complicated and then there are all the risks of something bad happening like people you don't know messaging you and stuff like that so I said forget it while all my friends are sending silly messages and gossiping and starting drama you know the stuff I'm trying to stay out of TROUBLE.

I think myspace is a way for sexual predators to find teenagers.

yes i dont like it either, it gives pedos too many opportunities to find kids... kids give way too much info as well as pics...adults too but they can fend for themselves if thats what they really want to post.
