There are many things that would be different. One such thing is that wars would be fought in the old-fashioned way without all of the inconvenience of human rights. If there was a country where the people were poor and starving, the Nazis would simply kill everyone in that country and give the land to well organized and well educated Arians. If the muslims started uprisings, they would all be killed. The trains and airplanes would run on time. There would be no "mid-east crisis" where Jews and Arabs would be continuously fighting each other. All Semites (decendents of Abraham=Jews and Arabs) would simply be killed, thus ending what seem to us today to be endless wars. We wouldn't have an overpopulation problem in the world. We would be taught in school that things would have been worse if the Nazis had been defeated. You would be posting the question, "What would've happened if the Nazis had been defeated?" And I would be describing the sorry state of affairs that the world is in now.

You assume wrongly that if the USA had not entered the war, the Axis powers would have won. The US entered late, only after the Japanese bombed Pearl Harbour. So prior to that event, the war was between Germany and Italy, and England, Scotland, France, Belgium, and the other European nations, plus Russia and Canada. They were well on the way to winning before the US entered.
Now, as to your hypothetical question about what would have happened? Most likely there would have been a Fascist government for a while, but I'm sure it would have been overthrown sooner or later and the conquered countries would have restored their democratic regimes. Hard to tell what Russia would have done, as I'm not good at predicting the Cyrillic mind. The really interesting part would have been what would have happened to the Fascist government in Canada. Would the USA have then joined in battle against the Nazi regime that had moved into North America?
Probably.
Anyway, that's my guess.

Italy was under German control, even if they were two sovereign nations. Once they had taken out the allies, they would have one way or another taken care of us, together. Then they would have turned on each other. Remember, for the Nazis the Jews were on the low end of the races scheme, but Asians were a close second. For the Japanese, they believed Asians were superior to everyone else, and were trying to convince those they conquered that they would all be equals against the other races. With such conflicting philosophies, war was inevitable.
Now, Hitler was working on and was perhaps months away from the first nuclear weapons (they would have finished before us if the war had extended longer in Europe). They also had the means of taking it by missle, meaning they, like us, could have made Japan surrender or face annihilation. Then, with an insane racist at the head of a massive government, he could have controlled the entire world, enforced a policy of full extermination of all races he determined inferior. The only people left by now might well have been those of Germanic descent.

It was good propaganda to believe that the US would have been conquered by the Axis, because in reality Germany, Italy and Japan did not have the forces available to take America. Even if Latin America joined in, I doubt it would be enough.
First of all, Japan would not have had the manpower to do it. Maybe taking Hawaii, but not much farther than that. The US would get it's nose bloodied but not conquered on the mainland. The west coast would be just too heavily defended. Prior to Pearl Harbor, Roosevelt had already enacted the first peace time draft in history. Even though the US was behind in weapons technology, by the time Japan got to West coast, the US would have been ready. The Japanese in reality did not want to conquer the US, they just wanted Asia and the South Pacific, maybe Australia too. That would have taken a lot for the Japanese to come this way.
In regards to Germany and Italy, no. In the book "Rise and Fall of the Reich" by William L Shirer, it was said that Hitler really did not want to go to war with the US. He knew that the industrial might of the US would crush him. He also felt a kinship to the US; the same way he felt about Britian. If Britian had not declared war, he would have gone to war with them. He only wanted France to avenge Versailles Treaty. He wanted Eastern Europe because he felt they were inferior to Germans and the Aryan race. I think the lend-lease act help keep Germany at bay in the West and the East. Remember, we did help the Soviet Union too with sending them war material.
In the book and later movie called "Fatherland", there was another scenario that played out. The US is involved in the war but the Normandy invasion fails. The US sues for peace with Germany and then crushes the Japanese in the same way that it played out in reality. Instead then of a Cold War with the Soviet Union, the US is a Cold War with Germany and Germany is still fighting the Soviets. The story takes place in the early 60s so instead John Kennedy being President his father Joseph is President and is trying to thaw the Cold War with Hitler. How is that for a what if?
If Latin America did get involved with the Axis help, it might not have amounted to much. If you are thinking of the border with Mexico, the US could have defended easily. The US has defended and crossed that border before in war in the 1800s. I don't think that the Axis would have given them ships in which to amphibious landings. So, I think the Southern border would have been protected.
It really is hard to say what would have happened. History is not neccesarly a constant. There is not one path that it follows. One little thing could throw it one way or another. One little change and BAM history could change in an instant.

One thing being overlooked in this discussion is that there were a number of extremely influential people in the United States who were sympathetic to, if not out right card carrying nazis. Roosevelt had been trying all sorts of ways to extend American involvement in Europe well before the Japanese bombing of Pearl Harbour but was met with a great deal of resistance from red blooded americans who happened to think the Nazis were onto something good.
The Allies had already started to turn the tide by the time the Yanks decided to jump in. It would have taken longer, yes, to finally put an end to it all but the end was in sight.
Another thing that is overlooked is that the great German war machine was beginning to fall in upon itself. Hitler was a hopless drug addict and would have died or been assassinated had the war continued much longer. The Russian front was actually what would have brought the Germans down ultimately. The losses on both sides there were unimaginable. The Russian army fought with unbelievable ferocity mostly because they knew there was no turning back, with Uncle Joe in power. It was either die fighting the Germans or in a Siberian labour camp if they dared retreat.
So, long answer short, if the USA had not got involved there would have been more people killed in Europe but the balance of power would have returned to the Allies and Germany would have surrendered.
Then the only active members of any fascist parties would be marching in the USA. And then your country would have gone on a terrible witch hunt for any communists or....oh wait, that IS what happened...So I guess the answer is nothing would have changed inthe USA except fewer american boys would have died on the beaches of Anzio and Normandy. Either way, the rest of us would have lost the same family members who died in Normandy, Monte Casini, the Scheldt and all those other places.
Side note, some brave americans did fight in WWII in allied uniforms well before Roosevelt overcame the opposition and dragged the USA into the battle.

At some point the US would have gotten involved, and probably with no allies. Communism will have disapear along with liberalism. You are right about being invaded from both coasts but dont forget that there are a lot of fascists during the time on latin america which would have left the souther border unsecured. Jews would have eventually been eliminated, black would have been turned into slaves and eventually use the americas for european settlement. The world would be divided between Germany, Italy, Japan, and dont forget Spain which was part of the gang too. and people would have been force to learn of or all of those languages.

Assuming that the USA did not enter the war then the US would still have a strong Pacific fleet which would have forced Japan to come to some agreement with North America. Canada would be put into a difficult situation and may have needed to abandon the Allies or face annexation by the US.
The European Axis nations would've also needed to come to some sort of deal with the US as they would be very busy in the expanse that was the Soviet Union.
Perhaps the US and Axis would've divided up the world into spheres of control especially the colonies of the European powers of UK and France.
A very different world indeed!

Apparently most had not read of Hitler's plans to conquer the entire world during World War II. He had wrote a book on what he would do once the German's had conquered Europe. We should have gone into the war earlier. Churchill kept insisting that the United States get involved in the war,but FDR did not want to.
We had no ships to speak of except in the Pacific. We really had no military equipment. We had no Army, navy, marine or Air Force. We were trying to help the British by sending them food, equipment and other military items, while trying to be neutral. The Germans kept blowing up our supply ships, but with us being neutral we could not admit that the cargo on the ship belong to us so we did nothing.
If we had not entered the war when we did it the German's would have conquered Europe. He had his people working on a bomber that would reach New York and return to Germany on one load of fuel. They had a prototype, but because of the way the war turned out it never got off the ground. They were also building a boat to reach America.
Had the Germans conquered Europe as they had planned their next mission was to do the same thing to America. America today would be speaking German, those of us that would still be alive as most Jews, blacks and others not Blond and blue eyed would be killed or placed in low paying jobs or no jobs at all.
The only thing that Japan did was kick things off for us and get us off the fence. We declared war on Japan and shortly there after declared war on Germany.
We started putting together our war machine, manufacturing ships, jeeps, tanks airplanes, guns and other items of war for out troops. We had to train many many American men to prepare to go to Germany, toward the end of the war we had a little over 2 million men under arms in our armed forces. Our training was conducted with sticks instead of guns because we did not have enough equipment for basic training.
When we entered the war the outcome was not a given, we fought about 4 years in that war, so it was not about over when we entered the war. We were fresh. The Germans under estimated our resolve, because they thought we would last a year and find away to get out. They never thought we had the generals to conduct a war, they had no respect for our military or its ability to fight.
I hope this has been of some use to you, good luck
'FIGHT ON"

Germany wouldn't have been able to invade across an ocean. The US could only invade Europe because we had England as an ally and a jumping off point.Germany would have had to invade and conquer Britian, then Iceland,Greenland, and parts of Canada first, just to reach us.Plus the Kriegsmarine (navy) never had a fraction of the abilities of the British and American navies.
And Japan never had a fraction of the strength to beat us.We put 90% of our strength into the European theater, and used only enough to keep Japan at bay while we defeated Germany. And even with that 10% we had Japan on it's knees.
But if they had won...We'd be typing in German now. They'd have turned on Japan and defeated them eventually. There wouldn't be any thing called racial diversity or civil rights in this country.

You can bet your bottom dollar that the involvement of the United States of America made all the difference in the outcome of this global war. The very thought of what you are suggesting makes me shudder. Because, believe or not , folks of this world, my country, the USA, is a good country, is a country that cares about being decent and respecting an individual's right to be free. You have the right to disagree with me. And I, being an American, will respect your right.
