Hey guys
How many of you out there just go for a woman because of her looks??
Or how many women go fro a man because of his looks

JUST because of looks? No. Do looks play a part? Sure. Humans are visual creatures...it's only natural we want to spend time around things we find visually appealing. There's more to attraction than just looks/appearance however...I've dated guys I was VERY attracted to, but who were not handsome in the face at all...I couldn't deny the attraction though...and the more time I spent around them, the more visually appealing they became to me. Looks don't really tell you anything about what's inside though...and that's the stuff that makes and breaks relationships.

In my opinion, looks are unimportant, what matters is what lies beneath the exterior wrapping of the inner human. Looks are deceiving and obviously change over the years, whilst the same person inside is still the same person over the years. If you fall for someones looks you will tire of them in time, as you would the colour or shape of an aging car for example. If you love the person for who they are, then you will grow old and change together and the love will grow stronger for you both. First and foremost, friendship is the key, love blooms from that and trust and honesty cements the partnership.

Looks do not matter...because if you date someone based on looks, beauty fades with time so what are you going to do when that beauty is gone and there is nothing left?
I have not ever nor will I date someone based on looks. Beauty is only skin deep.
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder...I find beauty in a lot of things. I may not have dated the *hunkiest* of guys but I myself thought they were handsome

If you don't know the person i think inevitably it is the way the look or carry themselves that initially attracts you. On the basis of that you can then decipher whether or not that person is compatible with you on an intellectual and personal level...
I would rather go out with a quirky looking lovely person who i enjoy spending time with and who makes me happy than go out with a good looking basta*d.... but each to their own! :o)

I'm going to go ahead and say 99.999% of both sexes are attracted to others simply by their looks.

I had a friend who had a hot girlfriend that he kept around for years. Her personality stunk out loud but she looked good being a ***** so he kept her. I'm sure there was some voodoo poonaney going on there too.

well it's kind of a trick question.... Looks are the first attraction anyone has unless you are a nerd and have to use the Internet. But looks are always first, then you get to meet the person and learn all of the good qualities, then I take it from there. If they have no sense of humor or no personality, I'm gone!

Looks definitely is the initial attraction, a great smile is always wonderfull. But as you get to know the person, the personality will change the looks for me, either better or worse.

I really don't like looking at a guys looks I really go for personality. I know I'll make a better choice that way then just going for a guy's looks.

I do and I don't. We can't lie. If a person is attractive it makes us more drawn to talking to them. But its the real person inside that keeps you talking. So in the end it isn't because of looks. But I do think it starts out that way in most cases.
