Some people talk about it like it is cowboys and indians here. Like it is a movie. "Root em out." "Take care of em over there rather than here." You have everything from violent night time raids that further anger the citizens and turn them into militia men to putting in puppet governments. It's serious business here. We could be poking at a hive of bees. What if a worst case scenario did occur? What if they really do have the capability to launch a nuclear or chemical offensive on U.S. soil right now? That could kill hundereds of thousands within a day. You can't prevent all attacks. Any reasonable politician or military strategist will tell you that. What if our tactics have actually made things much worse? Just because something hasn't occured by now doesn't necessarily mean that it can't or won't occur at all. And it doesn't mean that the current efforts have somehow stifled any future plans of the enemy. Was there a better way of going about this? Diplomatic relations? Sanctions?

Well for a start a good portion of the money spent on the war, could have been spent beefing up the borders here at home.

Including security at the ports, making sure all Visas are current and taking action against those that are here illegally.

The DHS is a joke, the TSA is a joke.

They are just window dressing, to appease the masses.

We can not go about saving the world until we are truly safe at home.

Those that say there have been no attacks here since 9/11 seem to forget about the whole anthrax thing, and an aborted plan to attack the New York subways. The subway thing was called off the UBL, and was not thwarted by any action of the DHS. As far as we know those planning the threat are still here working on something bigger.

Oh and what ever happened to Bin Laden anyway, perhaps we should have finished that job before taking on something else.

In the same way the government could not understand how to deal with such things in ME region. What we need is how to keep America strong but the government practices hit nails in the head and heart of America. Who created Usama Ben Ladin? Who gave asylum (shelter) to all terrorists in the name of protecting political and religious persecuted while those terrorists themselves were persecuting those who are different from them? For example, Omar Abdelrahman who had many people killed in Egypt was protected by the USA government. Do you think if those terrorists had committed 09/11 in other place, in Russia, for example, would America have supported Russia?

They don't have the technology, and even if they did it wouldn't be grounds for invasion. The last leader to use a pre-emptive strike was Adolf Hitler.

People think it's a joke but don't realize we are spending 6,600 dollars a second while 36 million Americans live in poverty.

You're never going to make any progress until you get criminals like Bush out of office! We need responsible, and caring leaders in government offices. ones that actually have good and positive American interests at heart. It's that simple!
