I have read pretty much all of his works that I could get my hands on and I have to say that the following are my favorites:
Books : It, The Stand, The Gunslinger series, Danse Macabre, On Writing, Different Seasons.
Movies : The Stand & It (hmmm...I'm seeing a re-occuring theme)
Point of interest:
According to the offical Stephen King Web site his current favorite as of June, 06 is :Lisey’s Story (To be released October 24, 2006)

I'd have to say that Hearts in Atlantis was my favorite King book by far. The movie was a real flop. It left out about 2/3 of the book maybe even more. Have you read the entire Dark Tower series? I would love to see a movie on those books, I don't know if it would work as a live action. It would be better as animation. What do you think? I've been reading SK for a long time. Love his work.

I've never thought that SK was a great writer, though I do think he is a wonderful storyteller...one of the best in recent years. I like his shorter stories much better than his full-length books...Apt Pupil, Man in the Black Suit, The Body, The Langoliers, The Library Policeman, but I did like Desperation, From a Buick 8 and Dreamcatcher.
Only 2 halfway decent movies of SK books: Misery and Shawshank Redemption. Hearts of Atlantis (not a great book to begin with but a good one) was one of the worst movies I have ever seen.
Wait! I almost forgot The Shining! (The movie was almost as good as the book!)

One of my favorite books of his is The Eyes of the Dragon, a great story and introduction of characters in The Dark Tower series and The Stand. The Stand was great (book and movie) --Randall Flagg, one of the creepiest villains ever. They did some great casting for the mini-series. The Shawshank Redemption...definitely my favorite story-to-movie adaptation and one of my favorite movies of all time period. Misery was a good adaptation as well. And It, read and saw that as a teen and it gave me the creeps for weeks!! The Shining is a good one too.

I have been a fax of Stephen King's for a very long time. I would have to say for me my favorite novels are the Shawshank Redemption, Cujo, Christine and The Shining. But then again, I collect all his novels. I live in Maine as well and am always hoping someday he will come to my town and I will finally meet him in person. His mind is so fascinating

Love 'The Shining' and the movie-with Jack Nicholson and Shelley Duvall-was great. It is still a classic to me.
'The Shawshank Redemption' and 'Pet Semetary' was good as well as 'Salem's Lot'. (The movie 'Salem's Lot' I like a lot.)
Oh, and Stephen King's 'IT'. The book and the movie was CREEPY.

Bag of Bones is one of my favorite books of all time by any author, but so many of his are great. The whoel dark tower series is phenominal. The Stand is great, just read it for the second time; the Shining, The Black House. I don't care for most of the movies, they tend to be big disappointments to me, but I thought the Green Mile was amazing.
