Dick Parcells, said "if you're going to cook the dinner, you ought to shop for the groceries. Larry Brown didn't "shop for the groceries", Thomas was the team president and general manager during Brown's tenure and made all of the personnel moves. Now Thomas will be the coach. Will he do what Pat Riley did for the Heat? Was this the right choice or not?

Thomas is responsible for destroying the Knicks. Come December the team will be horrible still & Thomas will have no one to blame this time, especially because everything is his fault. He took the team raised it's salary by 41% brought in a ton of players who have no discipline nor know how to play with each other. He is responsible for how this team is playing, not the coach! He will be fired by December, & they will regret getting rid of Brown so much I am sure. Both Brown & Wilkins have won championships, what office credits does Isiah have? Only the one where he destroyed the Knicks, brought in 6 coaches in his 3-4 year tenure, always blames the coaches who have proved themselves. NO ONE TO BLAME THIS TIME ISIAH, you're getting fired before you know it.

It replace into actually the undesirable decision. The Knicks are up against the cap so they can not make any strikes. And the only alleviation that they had in sight replace into gamers that have been approximately to end contracts and no longer count huge sort against them cap smart and what does Isiah Thomas do? He trades those gamers which will supply the Knicks cap alleviation for Steve Francis. The Knicks have a great sort of skills on their team. Unfortunatley for the Knicks that skills lies in lazy, uncoachable gamers like Marbury. each and every team that Marbury has performed for replace into worse while he replace into there then they have been formerly is arrival and after he left, is that a accident? communities that win are no longer egocentric, the play at the same time nicely and that they comprehend their coach. (Pistons and warmth are sturdy examples of this). This Knicks team is a variety of of egocentric gaurds that care extra approximately their stats and money than the team. that's all as for this reason Thomas. In my oppinion this team will neve win except Thomas is fired and that they start from scratch in terms of gamers. Brown replace into attempting to locate gamers that should play the excellent way, team ball. He made lineup alterations and rotation alterations yet you won't be able to make gold out of lead.

As someone from Detroit, I would say the answer is NO! Larry Brown has definite problems but he does know how to coach basketball. Most of us here wanted him over Flip during the Heat playoffs.
Where has Isiah been successful in basketball while in management? Nowhere I know of! The Knicks really need to get a solid coach and let him make all the personnel decisions.

So what? Football fans are basketball fans. I think it's a good idea. He had no chemistry whatsoever with his players, he and Marbury insulted each other through the media. I think Isiah Thomas will be respected by the players and maybe all of that talent will work as a team and do something.

jon_john1958,

Last I checked, Dick Parcells coaches football. It appears that DD figures people who read and know football are aware of this famous quote from Parcells and are also interested in basketball.

But you would know that, given the fact that you read so well.

It's a bad move Thomas made the mess!

Thomas will be the cook and still the dinner won't be cooked right...there is no way that he will win with that group...lucky just to go .500 and be talked about around playoff time...need to find someone willing to teach the young players....all a political move...
