hot and moist. Take suntan lotion along. Wear t-shirts on the beach if u go from 12-15 hrs which are the hours with sharpest sunlight. Drink lots of water. Bring a light raincoat along in case its raining, it sometimes does. Have fun!!

It about the worst time to go. As mentioned already, hot, humid and rainy. Save it for Nov-Apr. Would suggest instead renting a 4wd and driving around seeing the sites of Costa Rica.
All sort of activities from beach to mountains. It s a fascinating country. You wont need reservations pick a tentative route and stop whenever you want. Suggest driving north from SJU to the volcanoes, then to Fontana to see the active volcano, its a real tourist town and has all sort of options, rafting, hot springs, jungle excursions etc, then around Lake Arenal on the way to the Nicoya peninsula, for some beach and water sports, and on the way back go through Monteverde- the rain/cloud forest its truly amazing.

Isnt that the beginning of hurricane season? Cancun is known for its nightlife, its mostly teenagers and young ppl in their 20's. Its not so much of a family place, its more of a party place

my mom went a couple summers ago and it rained the whole time she was there, later someone told her it was rainy during the summer months and the best time to go was in the fall. not sure how true that is but thats what she was told.
