I felt that most all the decisions by the referee were unfair possibly deliberate to help Ghana go through the next round and the penalty was not a fair decision. But do you know something ---- it is a fair end result... the better team won as much as I would prefer to see the USA go through instead. Lot other countries will go out soon, so no hard feelings, Americans. Does anyone else agree ?

Let's just handle it like classy Americans should and not blame anyone for it. Ghana deserved to win and I hope they do well in the next round. God Bless America!

you all need to understand something, the usa isnt going thru to the next round because the usa sucks at soccer, landon donovan, where was he this whole tournament? if eddie johnson is good why did he only play the last 26 minutes? how did the czech republic score 3 goals vs the usa and none in the other two first round games? Massively unfair? let me ask this question, would brazil have let ghana counterattack like that in stoppage time almost un impeded into the box? no? why? becuase brazil is world class and usa isn't its that simple. its time to start over again and get rid of bruce arenas..........

I have to be honest and say I did not see the penalty incident or very much of the game as I was watching the Italian game - but I did see your goal and although it was a nice move and finish, it was also offside with the player who scored moving ahead of both defenders before the pass was played - so unless there were any other game changing incidents and assuming that what you say about the penalty is correct, then I guess the major decisions evened themselves out.

I am a Brazilian and I think it was TOTALLY UNFAIR! By the way, there was absolutely NO FOUL before the goal. It was completely LEGAL. The problem, in my opinion, is that most people are not prepared to accept any UNEXPECTED RESULTS in a World Cup Soccer Championship. There are some "FAVORITES"(= Favorite Teams) in this Cup that some people would like to see in the Finals. Unfortunately the USA is not among them! Some people don't like to see a Team considered to be "WEAK"(= not any more) beating one of these "favorites". It is simply UNACCEPTABLE for some people. That's what I think. I believe this World Cup still promises a lot of SURPRISES!!! Let's wait and see...

I agree with you 100%. The US team did not play witht he fire they had against Italy. They were not going to overcome a 2:1 score. Good job Ghana. And I wish them luck against Brazil.

Yes got to agree with you. Although it should have been a drawn game. But that's the game of football for you. Got to say It was not a penalty. even so i don't think the USA played with enough eagerness to win it. Nice to see the US coach actually watching the Game.

The foul was completely inexistent, specially for a penalty kick. But face it, we don't have a single player above mediocre. And not a single idea in how to score a goal. But I am completely sure that it is going to change with our next generation of players.

People can complain that the ghana game might have been unfair but you know what, they shouldn't have had to need to win today, if they would have handled their s*** earlier in the czech game and italy game, so the hell with them, we weren't gonna win the whole thing anyways

Yes America were screwed, not only in this game but also in the game against Italy (especially in the game against italy). I'm an England fan but more importantly honest and fair gaming that was dispicable.
