Well..... Don't knwo where to start. Got some of the best players in the world, I think you will all agree on that - but they just don't seem to gel together. Look how many times Lampard has had a shot at goal when there have been three or four people in front who were at a better range and angle. They need to play as a team and not for the Golden Boot.

Also, They have been playing the same tactic since 1998 - Long balls down the right hand side of the field - and everybody is exepecting it - that's how Trinidad held us for so long. Against Sweden, we played differently - running down the left - and played really well I though until half time and then - bugger me - all long balls down the right. We were very lucky as Sweden almost had two more!

Also, the team have to get out of the mentality of scoring one goal and then playing an eleven man defence in the penalty area. If/when we come up against an Argentina or a Spain, who can keep possession, pass and run with the ball - rather than just hoofing it away and sitting back, we will get slaughtered like Serbia did.

We have the team to win this, but I think we need a serious look at our tactics before Ecuador.

Very poor proformance, they need to realise that this is the time to play as a team. Put all there efforts into the game, our hopes have been set so high thinking that we can win the world cup, but so far they seem to relax and make mistakes which could cost us dearly. Joe Cole has been the one with true grit why don't they take a leaf out of his book and then we may just win the world cup.

I hope we can rise to the occasion as usually happens. Remember when we played Argentina last year? We looked like the best team in the world.
At the moment against the opposition we've had we don't look like staying. Fingers crossed.

kingsofclub uk, may please name the best players in the world? Because I can't see one. What England has is a very well balanced team and a very speedy counterattack. And players disciplined enough to cover the whole field all the time. It could be enough.

They have some good talents but below par performance if you ask me. Don't see them getting to the finals.
