Well, I do know what happened. See if it plays DVDs or see if it give you disc read errors on PS2 games. If it does then what has happened is the laser lens is misaligned. You can't fix this yourself and this type of damage is not covered under warranty. You will either have to send it back to Sony to get fixed OR get a new PS2. That's my best guess though it may be something else.

call ps2 help agency, tell them your dog ran, grabed the wire and pulled it off, or just tell them it started doing this, lies make everything better, unless you have duct tape...lol
