The WWF is scripted. Prior to each match (many days in advance), the league determines who will win and what will happen at each event. It is up to the wrestlers (aka actors) to determine how they will win or lose and how they will interact with one another, but they are contractually bound to win or lose base on what the league determines or they will be fired.

Pro Wrestling is whatever you want it to be. If you believe it is real, then to you it is real. If you believe that the wrestlers control the outcome of each match, then that's exactly what is worked out between them. The operative word is Entertainment. Wrestling is much like a movie that you're watching where you see people getting a bad beat down put on them, and the shooting scenes where you see someone get shot to death. But in reality no one gets hurt, unless it is an accident. The same applies to pro wrestling. Accidents do happen and wrestlers do get injured, but it isn't meant to cause an injury. It's part of the show. Next time you watch a show pay close attention to the way other wrestlers are hit, and where they're hit. If they were in a real match like the UFC they wouldn't stand a chance of winning. Brock Lesnar is the current heavy weight champion of the UFC, and no one wants to face him inside the Octagon. He is very dangerous. Those fights are "real.". Paul Levesque aka triple H said on the Tonight show that. "We control the outcome of the match. That should give you a hint whether it is real or not.

They are just for show and all the fake rivalries and "bad guy" antics are irritating and stupid. Especially Mr. Mc Mahon is pathetic in the way he presents himself. Most of the show is taken up by extremely silly talk and this is annoying to a person who wants to see some wrestling. The "divas" look and behave like harlots. It's nothing to do with sport whatsoever.

Real as in real melodrama. Sometimes the injuries are indeed real as a broken back, or even death has occurred. So, of course, the fights are scripted, but what you see in front of your face is ALWAYS REAL. Just take it for what it is. If YOU don't know what the outcome is going to be, what's the harm in believing that it's real? Whatever it is, it can be compelling to watch. --Sincerely, UCSteve

I read somewhere that all the WWE not WWF fights are scripted & arranged beforehand.
To me, that's what TV's all about, all-round good, mindless entertainment, nothing more.

Of course not. Haven't you seen any of the reality shows that introduce wrestling to the masses? It's a school on fake fighting.

They're fake - and choreographed the winner is determined before the bout - the wrestlers are trained on how to fall and throw opponents to not get hurt...they do actually throw them and on occasion they will actually get hurt...(broken arms, noses and even fatalaties have occureD) when they hit chairs on opponents heads..they actually make contact and it does result in injuries...but for the most part its fake..
