I don't know. No one knows. We're not supposed to know; we're just supposed to prepare for it.

I don't know how you could possibly know that we are in end times, but when the world ends it will be due to mankind and not god. Look at what we are doing to the environment? Mankind is like a cancer to the earth. How much longer do you think it can hold up unless we make some drastic changes? Maybe instead of focusing on what we are going to do on judgment day and spending so much time judging each other we should focus on making the here and now a better place.

Current scientific thought concurs on the fact that our sun will become a red giant in a few billion years time, incinerating the earth.

No, I don't know that we are in end times. The book of Revelation and Jesus' own misguided prophecies tried to convince people that the second coming or "the kingdom" or whatever supestitious tosh meant the end of the world, was going to occur in their own lifetimes! Over 2,000 years ago.

They knew less about the universe and the world than we do and they made up all this rubbish to control people.

When HIV becomes an airborn virus.
When Iran and North Korea launch its nucler misiles.
When the H5N1 virus mutates with a common human flu virus and spreads like wild fire....then the world will end.

Howdo we know we are in the end times. We have got a lot more suffering to do before we can escape from this planet....

You dont know that. The world could not end for another 50 years. And besides in the bible it says the world will end when we least expect it. Were not supposed to know.

Every day I'm surprised and excited that we are still here. Every night I peacefully and happily accept that tomorrow will not come... and then it does... and so the cycle continues. Perhaps, that's it... the notion of an "END" is just a cosmic joke... perhaps we go on forever, expecting a resolution that does not come... except in the form of new beginnings. That's why I stick around, you know. I would love to be alive to see the END, per-chance to catch a glimpse of the NEW BEGINNING that follows.

We are always in the end times, because you can never recapture yesterday, last week or last year.

Prepare for yourself your decision to accept or reject Christ. One of the nice things about Christianity is you know you are living in eternity. Obviously, we are all destined to die a physical death, the same as we experienced a physical birth. We are here on this planet to experience a physical rebirth and then a spiritual transition into a new life in the hereafter.

scientists believe the sun will burn out in a few billion years, and the universe will probably go into a big chill or a big crunch eventually. a big crunch is when the univesre's density is above critical mass, gravity would cause the universe to stop expanding and collapse in an implosion, like a reverse of the big bang. if density is below or at critical mass, the universe's expansion would slow, which would cause a long, cold death called big chill. the earth could be a part of this, but it is more likley to be destroyed by pollution and lack of water in the next century.

I think to much but, i usually think that the world of an idea that is wrong will end, then the book repeats itself until all problems have solutions. Then they'll be no need to be afraid.

this is an easy one when all the worlds governments fall, to ultimate anarchy and chaos that is when the final judgement will be held. to weed out those who get to go to heaven and those who cannot go to the light will stay behind on earth the new hell. and no we are not in it now. here is something someone told me a while ago.
"the world shall end when the sky is as dark as our blood, and when men do not have sense over good and evil, and they themselves shall be evil with no recollection of what they are doing."

And this gospel of the kingdom will be proclaimed throughout the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come.
