OH, HAVE I EVER! My foot slipped off an edge and landed perhaps 15 inches lower. Suddenly my leg was pointing forward and my foot was at a right angle to it....Not a pretty sight! Twelve or 14 fractures required surgery to put in a plate and a bunch of screws...and two more surgeries to take same out and rework a nerve. Decidedly waaaaayyyy too much fun! Oh yes, did I forget to mention: I was wearing a skimpy nighty and knew all the firemen(6), paramedics(2), and Sheriffs (5), who answered the 911 call...I worked with them!

Not exactly the ankle ,but a very big brown cow came tumbling down from the top of a very steep stairway somehow and landing on ceramic tile many times exclaimed with a rather plaintive OWWWWWW Just three hairline fractures healed now.

One time just stepping off a high curb. My daughter on the other hand broke the bones at the ankle on a slip and slide 2 years ago and had to have surgery to fix it.

Yes, I was in 8th grade and there were a double level stair case that my friends and I went down every day, well one day we decided it would be a "GOOD" idea to jump over the barrier wall to the bottom level. Needless to say when I did it my right ankle rolled and broke. It sucked to go down those stairs the entire rest of the year.

No, but I've broken my elbow. When I was 5 or 6 I slid down the stairs in a big, blue, plastic container. My elbows were sticking out and one them slammed into the wall and shattered. It hurt. A lot.

yes!
while skipping down the stairs, from the Ein-Gedie Spa
heading towards, the Dead Sea for a float.

I tripped and turned my ankle over---OUCH!

It did not start to really hurt , till i got on the bus back to Jerusalem .... then it swelled up and the pain was bad

( it took about 10 weeks to heal.)

;)

I actually broke both my ankles. One I broke sliding into 3rd plate playing softball. The plate wasnt on properly and when I went to slide into it I caught the plate and it broke my ankle. Second one I broke playing basketball. I went up for a rebound and came down and someone landed on my ankle. They still act up on me sometimes.

I broke mine around 14 yrs old. But real bad. The bone kinda split, because of the way I did. I was playing roller hockey. My cast was up to my hip and I had on for about three months. It sucked. But like everything else u get through it.

Yep. I was running in some grass during gym class in middle school, there was a small dip in the ground, I stepped in it, and my ankle broke.
