Actually I think the current course is working better then most people believe, by this time next year Iraq will be under full control of the Iraqi government and how they handle their gangs and thugs will be completely up to them.

I do hope we setup a permanent base there however, for when we have to knock the heads of their neighbors.

Oh my god… who is this spider? ... Total Media Black out? Are you crazy? Haven’t you heard of Guantanomo? Just imagine what a field day that would be. Going into Iraq was surely a mistake in the first place but leaving it to rot is definitely not the answer either, it will be the biggest crime that can be perpetrated against those people. Now that every thing is gone chaotic in Iraq, there’s no choice but to fix the mess that’s been created. Lesson to be learnt… “Never try to fix what’s not broken in the first place”

We need to let Iraq (not irag) developer their own Democracy and we can then pull out our troops. The biggest problem in Iraq is that their are three major militias each trying to control certain areas within the country. The Iraqi army and police have not become strong enough to control these militias. Another major problem, one that is centuries old, is the three major ethnic/religious divisions. They dislike each other and it will be hard for them to lay down their inbred hatreds.

"One tyrant per war" - that's classic.

Dude - Here's the deal. You're only giving us extremes to choose from, and neither one is the answer. It's just not that simple.

We need to stay the course in Iraq. Regardless of politics, or whether you agreed with invading them or not - whatever - we need to stay the course. We can't pull out of Iraq until the iraqis can handle their own security. Once the insurgency is in hand, and the Iraqis can manage it without us, we can pull out and leave them to it.

I would tend to agree that a little less media interference would make things easier for our troops on the ground, but I would also add that the western media is practically nonexistent in Iraq, except for in Baghdad and a few other major cities. Baghdad is teeming with "journalists" reporting on their own agendas. But i can't advocate a media blackout and I certainly can't advocate the kind of blackout you're talking about.

first of all... I don't think that we can legally leave Iraq just yet.. not until their government has a viable chance of sustaining itself... we took out the old government.. and until there is a new government in place to protect the people.. then we need to be there. Aren't there some laws within the UN that say something about this? hmm.. maybe not.. but.. would it be right to abandon those who helped us? let them get killed by those against us?

So we are now supposed to abandon the people who may be depending upon us to fix the mess that we made for no reason at all. Sadaam Hussien was no threat to this country. He was doing in his country the same things that many other psycho dictators are doing in other countries around the world and we have not invaded them.. Maybe they dont have oil and their Daddy hadnt already been to war with them. Get real...instead of trying to find a way to vent your anger and frustration upon people who have done nothing to you, why not learn how to spell.

Unfortunatly we can't abandon Iraq, but we can't rule it with an iron fist. We need to hunt down every freaking terror with few limits. Then setup a government and slowly leave.

Sure, let's get our guys and allies outta there, and then nuc the place for "morbid". I can see why you have a hard time understanding politics, your spelling is awful. You must be a Democrat.

Dude... Do you want to model yourself after Hitler or Stalin? Repressing the people is no way to find support or peace. You've only exchanged Hussain with you. One tyrant per war please.
