The popularity of sodoku perhaps lies, partially in the simplicity of its rules. The basic sodoku puzzle is a 9x9 grid (81 squares). The 9x9 grid is divided into 9 subgrids, or "regions", which are 3x3, that are obviously made up of 9 squares.

The sodoku puzzle starts with some of the 81 squares already containing a number. These numbers are called "givens". The goal of the game is simply to fill the puzzle so that every row, column and region contains the digits 1 through 9. Therefor each number from 1 to 9 only appears once in each of the 3 "directions" (row, column, region). It’s that simple.

The purpose of the game is for fun and entertainment and also to help exercise your brain.

Sudoku, for those who still, do not know is a number game that calls for a player�s patience and logical skills. Though quite simple at first glance, the game can be mightily complicated. Each puzzle is composed of a 9 x 9 grid. The grid is composed of 9 columns, 9 rows and 9 squares with 9 small squares inside. The objective of the game is to fill up the squares with numbers, 1-9, provided that the numbers will only appear once in the column, the row and in the bigger square. This simple yet maddening rule makes the game ultra difficult and addicting as hell.

Sudoku is a number game. The game is designed on a square composed of 9 smaller squares each of which contain 9 squares. Some of the number in those squares have been filled in for you. Your job is to fill in the rest. The twist is that every column must have the number all the numbers 1-9. Every row must have all numbers 1-9 and every one of the medium sized squares must contain all numbers 1-9 without any doubling up. There can also only be one number in each of the smallest squares. So the challenge is figuring out where the numbers go so that the whole puzzle (every column, row, and medium sized square) works and contains only the numbers 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9 with no doubles. Basically it is like a brain teaser game designed to make you think intently on the task at hand.

Hey there! Remember me? I'm Capricorn sun, Aquarius moon, and Gemini ascendant like you :) This sounds sort of like how I am with others. People haven't really called me two-faced (could that be the rising sign?) but a few people that don't really know me have said I come off as stuck-up. Stuck up?! haha. I'm quite shy as well. But at the same time, I'm friendly towards everyone I know. I have a problem with asking people to hang out..I usually never ask people to do stuff...And I also would rather somebody come to me than the other way around. To be honest, I really hate myself sometimes. Isn't that great? Haha, I'm kidding. What I mean is, I don't TRY to do these things; it's just THE WAY I AM. Maybe it's just other people's fault that they judge you before they get to know you. I'm sure if you have to ask this question then you're not completely conscious of the fact that you do these things. It's common for shy people to be misunderstood by others >.<

in sudoku you have boxes w/ numbers and in the boxes in teh big box, you have to get 1-9, and then 1-9 down and across the big box in any order. it is a puzzle game. i find it very hard. even on the easy level. the box already has some numbers put in for you.
