Currently, I believe Yao Ming is the tallest at 7'6".
There have been at least two players who were 7'7" (Manute Bol and Georghe Muresan) but both are no longer in the league.

Yao Ming is the tallest current player at 7'5" tall. Former Dallas Maverick Shawn Bradley is 7'6" tall. Former Washington Bullet Manute Bol is 7'7.25" tall. Former Bullet Georghe Muresan is 7'7.25" tall as well. There was even a guy on Turkey's national team many years ago named Suleinam Ali Nashnush who was 8' tall, making him the tallest know basketball player in any league amateur or professional.
