If we were all genuinely interested in the "greater good" 100% of the time, we'd all give half our paychecks to charity and think nothing of it. Unless it's in our best interest (or in any realm of our interest) to go out of our way for the sake of the "greater good"-- even if we need a warm-fuzzies check every now and again-- I doubt that most people are regularly and legitimately selfless in nature.

Personally I'm way too greedy to act for the greater good. Let the rest of the "greater good" worry about themselves, i have enought o worry about.

You don't justify it....but to explain it, you do it like so....When something happens to you, you respond....there's a time in between where you make the decision on how to respond...some people feel that things just happen, but really they just respond to their first thought....whatever it is....so technically it's a lack of self-control which almost everyone has.

You cant justify it, yet it happens all the time....I guess little things become bigger ones with time.
