Is limewire illegal?

And if so, doesn't iTunes support it? Because for some reason, when I download a song off Limewire, it shows up in my iTunes.

downloading a copyrighted song off of limewire without paying for it is illegal.

Limewire itself is not illegal to use. But when a person downloads music/movies/music videos etc. (for free) that's what's illegal.

limewire is not illegal...but it can be used as such if u download something that infringes on a copyright.....as long as it says MP3 it is okay but u have to pick between the questions given at the beginning of download it asks u if u intend on using for infringements or violation of copyright laws

i'm not sure if its illegal, but to add it to itunes go to:

(on iTunes) file>add file>go to the folder where your downloaded limewire music files are at, and add the file;
or you can go to add folder and do the same thing.

you may have to edit info (right click>get info) about the song for some files added.

it doesnt matter anyways, to me.

Yes it is illegal. Yes iTunes supports it. I wouldn't use it.
