Hey, researchtissue, I was asking NASCAR fans! I'm not from the south either. And yes, I am educated! If u don't like NASCAR than why do u answer the NASCAR questions? Do u have nothing else to do but put down a sport that many people like?? JEEZ!!!!

I really like Jeff Gordon and Kurt Busch. Now I don't like Kyle but that's another story. But I think the greatest driver ever was Richard Petty!!

No, the stats do not surprise me or any of Juniors loyal fans. He isn't the first and he won't be the last driver to have a "bad year". I know from experience...I am a Cleveland Indians & Browns fan so I know all about bad seasons. The only reason the stats surprise people is because they don't pay attention to them. They are too busy dissing on Junior and hating him which is sad. Stats don't mean anything to them. Part of your statement is very true, when they get the right hook up for Junior a whole lot of people better look out. Dang right he'll be a handful. Even though he's had horrible luck this year, he still has what it takes to back it up...statistics. Whatever he does off the track has nothing to do with his performance on the track and shouldn't even be thought of as a factor. That's private and personal. He will be back and then watch the momentum of the haters & dissers jump on Juniors Band wagon. Nice post, have a star. Good luck to everyone's driver this weekend. JMHO

Jeff Gordon all the way. Of all the drivers listed Jeff Gordon was the only one to take the time and sign an autograph for me. I waited and waited for JR but he couldnt be bothered and honestly I didnt care when Busch walked past me bur Gordon stopped took a minute or so to ask me questions and sign my shirt.........to me this shows the real character of the driver.. without fans there would be no sport. And for the one that says racing isnt a sport.... well you try and hold yourself in car going 200 mph and not be in shape bet your cant do it for long at all!!!

Junior - all the way. Don't worry about the so called educated indiviuals, that obviously don't understand what it truly takes to drive a race car. Watch out, Mr graduate knows his colors. You know you can buy a degree online now. Guess he doesn't know much about other people from the blue states, as I am from a blue state, and know plenty of people from blue states, with more education than one little degree, that are big fans of racing, and know how much it really requires to be in racing. Sounds like just jealous to me. You know how people whine when other people are making more money, and have more fame then they will ever have. Sounds like he needs his fifteen minutes of fame. NASCAR RULES!!!!!!!!!! Maybe Kurt's little brother might end up with more fans than big brother. But the Earnhardts will always be #1.

Dale Jr. by far over Jeff or Kurt, now if you throw a few others into the mix it might be a different story altogether.

Any pilot in Formula 1 is better, tougher and more fit than your nascar drivers. Jeff Gordon hurt himself by driving a Formula 1 car well below its limits! He would have killed himself if he would have driven it like Heidfeld and Villeneuve during a race.
The forces a F1 driver experiences are enormous, and probably double to those in nascar. Up to almost 4.5 G in high-speed corners.

MArk Martin is my favorite driver. In the past I did like Kurt, but he has such a attitude now! I would say that JR is a great racer as is Gordon. And I am from CT !
