that's not true. the children still have to eat, so money doesn't have anything to do with visitation. just like visitation can't be witheld because of no child support, it also goes for the other way around!

Are you serious?
Well let me tell ya something, First of all do u know what a lowlife you sound ASKING a stupid question like that? Now there may be circimstances like the Mother wont let you see the child or something similiar like that BUT....LOL ok here goes If she's not letting you see the child YES YES YES you still have AND SHOULD pay your support bc COME ON this is YOUR child ALSO. NOW if somehow she had this baby on her own without a man YES u have to still pay until you get a DNA (REPEAT) DNA test, but if it comes back that you are not the parent she would have to pay that amount back to you. NOW if you are CHOSING not to see said child (for whatever reason) and GOD i pray thet your not doing this just to keep from paying because that is REALLY low, then YES YES YES and i repeat again Y E S YOU HAVE TO PAY. NOW you can go to court and and give up all rights parental rights and usually not have to pay any longer on the child BUT lol you could get fooled and still have to pay unless the woman remarries or another man usually referred to as a "REAL" Daddy comes along and takes responsibility of the child. BUT please try to remember that baby never asked to be brought here, yours and your ex's raging hormones brought the child here. AND damned if this World isn't hard enough let alone a child feeling abandoned or thrown out by ANY PARENT MOM OR DAD. SO go see your child EVEN if you have to take Mom to court and pay the support hell the lil bit of money most men are asked to pay is really not even a DROP in the bucket as to what it REALLY takes to raise these children!!!!!

I HEARD THAT YOU AUTOMATICALLY HAVE A RIGHT TO SEE YOUR CHILD IF YOU DO PAY CHILD SUPPORT, BUT NOT THE OTHER WAY AROUND. YOU SHOULD CHECK, WITH THE CHILD SUPPORT LAWS IN YOUR OWN STATE. AND FIRST OF ALL CHILD SUPPORT GOES TO PAY FOR THE WELL BEING OF THE CHILD YOU BROUGHT INTO THIS WORLD, AND YOU SHOULD BE PAYING WHETHER YOU SEE THAT CHILD OR NOT, BECAUSE YOU HAVE A RESPONSIBILITY TO THAT CHILD . NOT THE GOVERNMENT OR ANYONE ELSE, IT SOUNDS AS IF YOU ARE USING THAT AS SOME SORT OF EXCUSE NOT TO PAY. WHY DON'T YOU SEE YOUR CHILDREN?

Visitation and child support are not related rulings. Each are decided separately by the judge. So, yes, the supporting parent still has to pay support if the judge deems them unfit to see their child. However, if the other parent simply withholds visitation, then go back to court to hold the other parent in contempt (but still pay your support or you're both in contempt)

If a parent is paying child support, that parent has a legal right to see their child. Therefore, if you are paying child support and the custodeal parent does not allow you to see the child, you should take them to court because it is in violation of the court order.

It's just a rumor. A court order for support is just that. If you choose not to the see the children involved that is your choice but the payments are still in effect. A bad comparison but it might make it a bit more clear; if you bought flowers for your girl and paid with a credit card. You still owe the credit card company even if you won't see the flowers again, don't you?

If the parent in question, was order by court to pay support, they have to pay child support. If their not seeing their children it's by their own hands..If you would like to double check, go to the local court house and find out..

You still have to pay support. Even if the mother is hidding the children and you cant find em. You still have to pay support. There is no getting out of it all.

Doesn't matter if the parent doesn't see their kids- couldn't imagine why they wouldn't- but the noncustodial parent HAS to pay child support. You would have to go to court and give up your rights or if the child is adopted, then you wouldn't have to pay.

This is not true. You have to pay support regardless whether see them or not. Now if you want to relinquish your rights as a parent and let someone else adopt them..thats a different matter.
