Of the ones you have listed here, First Contact is definitely my favorite. It has the best enemy by far, the Borg and the best plot. The Borg Queen attempting to corrupt Data was a great sub-plot and James Cromwell was great as Cochrane, the unlikely hero. The whole scene when they were walking on the outside of the ship was great and the holodeck scene in which Picard and Lily trick the Borg was good as well. Generations depresses me because I don't like the way they killed off Kirk, he should not have gone out like that.

Among my other favorites are The Undiscovered Country, which had a good plot, the Kirk vs. Kirk fight scene is great and the mind thing Spock does with Kim Catrall's character is cool, too...The Wrath of Kahn (those ear parasite things always creep me out) and The Search for Spock...seeing Spock go from boy to man was cool as hell.

1. Star Trek First Contact - simply because of the fight scenes between the starships and the borg cube.

2. Star Trek The Undiscovered Country (not on list) - because of the fight scene, value of friendship potrayed in the movie. And because we know at last that Kirk's middle name is Tiberius.

3. Star Trek The Wrath of Khan (again not on the list) - and again, for the fight scenes in the nebula.

p/s: I don't think the other three in the list as among the best. Nemesis has a good fight scene but it is predictable, like when Picard typed the ramming order, I knew it instantly before the ramming ever begun.

I was disappointed by the newer Star Wars films. I love the Star Trek originals not the latter stiff pc ones. I have heard very good things of this new film but I'll wait until it's out on dvd as I am not that bothered about either to be honest.

All the movies in your list are awful. The only good star trek movie is the second one, The Fury of the Khan.... its the only one (except maybe number 6) which is faithful to the series and is so fun to watch. Its also very emotive. The ending is sooo good!

Of the ones you mention, definitely "First Contact", YAY!! Star Trek goes action movie!!! Plus, of the next gen movies, it's the only one that doesn't look just like a feature-length episode and makes use of the big screen.

"Nemesis" was utter drivel. A terrible movie whichever way you look at it. And if you want the geeky reason, well we get to see a young Picard in one of the TV episodes ( not quite enough of a geek to name it for you, sorry... ), and he looks NOTHING like the "young Picard" in Nemesis.

Overall though, the best Trek movie is Wrath of Khan. I don't need to justify that, it's just true.

Of that group, i would choose Star Trek VIII : First Contact.

Best story, best visuals, just a really good movie.

None of the above, I'm somewhat of an original Trekkie, so my choice would be Star Trek IV
