For Ms Bookish - actually I agree it is a bad attempt at humour, but since i also have a friend who has his leg amputated and who is always cracking jokes similar to the above, I think your ironic tones and judgmental approach are misplaced. Humour is one way of dealing with and overcoming misfortune. If we start feeling over-protective and over sympathetic towards people with disabilities, then we mark them out as victims and that is exactly what they don't want to feel like. If you don't experience real life, then I am sure there is a book that you could read that would get the message across to you.

Wow, this is hilarious and would be a real laugh to a dear friend of mine who had his left leg amputated above the knee 30 years ago. This is a very sad attempt at humor.

If you had an accident at work and lost one of your limbs,You have a case no way they can get out of it..I would get a very good attonery,who deals in these kind of cases..The sooner the better..

Your lucky to have one leg, I was completely legless last night , and my wife took immediate action when I arrived home!

some information about the accident would be useful in trying to help. basic answer, if it wasnt your fault and you can prove this, you more than likely can sue.
