I did like Christopher Eccleston in the last series. I've only seen David Tennant in the last moments of the last series, and "The Christmas invasion", and although the Doctor didn't do much, what he did do impressed me and I look forward to watching the second series in October (in Canada). I have high hopes for him, but as of yet I can't say that I like him more than I like Christopher Eccleston. I need to see David in action a little more.
I liked Harriet Jones in the last series. Particularly in the episode where she implies that as a MP, aware of the situation that happens, she is in a position of making decisions. I can't remember the quote off hand.

I haven't really seen Tennant yet, except for his part at the end of "Parting of the Ways." So I really can't judge him as a Doctor yet. However, I loved Eccleston as the 9th Doctor.
I liked almost all the characters and thought they blended nicely together. And the writing was excellent. It was good, believable dialogue. My favorite Doctor quote was during "The Long Game," when he, Rose and Adam land on the satelite. He asks two girls where they are and they ask him why he doesn't know.
"Look at me, I'm stupid!"
lol. Just thinking of the way he delivered that line and the look on his face. Great acting!

I liked Christopher Eccleston to start of with, but now i think that David Tennant is just as good and also it's a shame that Billie Piper is leaving the show, i don't thinkj it will be the same without her.

David Tennant is sooooooo much beter than Cristopher Eccleston. He is so much funnier and completly loony! My fave parts are , and they are in the second series so spoiler alert just in case.
1) Where Cassandra takes over Rose's body and kisses the Doctor. After he just sort of squeaks!
2) The episode of the girl in the fireplace. Soooooooooooo romantic!
3) Lastly, thank God I hear you say, when in the episode with the werewolf, Queen Victoria knights Rose "Dame Rose of the Powell estate" and the Doctor " Sir Doctor of TARDIS"!!!
I think you can tell who my fave charater is!!Wooh hoo!!

The only one I have seen recently is Christopher. I went back and forth on liking and not liking him. But he did a good job.
And as for my all time fave, Tom Baker hands down. No one has really come close. But Chris is up there.

Christopher, he had that "knowledge of all" look and attitude, the new guy will have problems cause he will always be compared to chirstopher. And why did he leave anyway???
