it's a foul from the moment the ball is not playable. A similar sitation would occur if you lie on the ball to prevent it from being kicked by the opposition

foul surely, just like a player cant sit on the ball and shield it. the ball must be in play. up a players shirt is not in play

i dont think it would count as i think he has to let go of the ball first,in which case he cant put up his top.
