When I am about to ovulate (usually 1 or 2 days before the temp. spike), I feel a dull pain in my left side (odd months) or right side (even months). We are ttc too and that is usually a sign to my husband, when I say, ooh, I'm about to ovulate, then we do the deed!

Last month, though, I felt it, then it went away, then ovulated 9 days later (stress, I think). When you use this "sign" try to combine it with other signs, like a spike in temp, or cervical fluid, or cervical positioning.

This definately could be a sign that you're about to ovulate! Good luck in ttc.

I had the same ovulation symptom (left or right side hurting) around day 14 every month. This month is of no exception, however, my BBT chart showed that I only ovulated on day 26. Sure enough, my period is now 8 days late, and pregnancy test is negative.
I think when you start your clomid in July, it is wise for you to chart your BBT, check LH or saliva pattern just to be sure of your ovulation time.

This is my standard answer......... go get a book called Taking Charge of your fertility by Toni Weschler. It will help you understand your body and all the myths about it. It will help you time when you are ovulating and the best times to conceive. My Doctor recommended it to me and after 1 year of trying I got the book. It worked the very next month. It turns out that my timing was wrong due to mis-information. I hope it helps you, too! It's not only about getting pregnant. It's about knowing your body and knowing when you are fertile or not. You can pick and choose what you do with your info. Good luck and don't listen the all the myths
