I have a good friend whom I have a lot in common with, we can talk on the phone for hours about everything, and we always have a good time when we hang out. That is until he begins to inquire about us starting a romantic relationship together. Then I completely shut down and get very uncomfortable, because I don’t want to at all. He is cool, but I am not attracted to him at all. Not even a little bit.

I have never been able to openly reject guys, I’m more passive aggressive about it. But I don’t think he picks up on it or my nonverbal cues. Other friends have seen how I react when he tells me he wants to be with me and they say that I don’t seem interested at all. I’ve been passive aggressive with guys in the past and they usually take the hint and move on, but he just doesn’t get it.

What is his problem? And what do I do?

who says he has a problem? maybe he just really wants to be with and is hopin he's readin the signals wrong. you can't always be passive aggressive with things. sometimes you have to flat out say what's on your mind and everybody else be damned. just tell him and move on, stop p.ussy footin it

Maybe he's just dense. Perhaps you don't like openly rejecting guys but you kinda have to at this point. You've done the whole non-verbal thing and it hasn't worked so you need to take some more assertive action. Next time he brings it up just say that you don't think it would work out and that you just want to be friends. Or you can suffer the uncomfortable-ness everytime he brings it up for the rest of your friendship..........

Tell him exactly how you feel...Perhaps he really isn't reading your signs. Sometimes certain things need to be said loud and clear. Tell him that he makes you uncomfortable when he hits on you and that you would not like to lose his friendship over this. Give him an ultimatum as harsh as that sounds, perhaps then he will realize that you are not playing.

HE IS PERSISTENT. you have to set him straight. just tell him "Look I am not interested in you like that. I prefer to stay friends please respect me by doing so or you will be ruining our friendship.
THAT'S ALL :) GOOD LUCK
