Soon we will be putting goofy dots in the middle of our foreheads, wearing sandles all day every day and smelling like a spice rack. We will have running water but refuse to use it. We will leave our shoes outside our apartment in a big pile so that people can see just how nasty we are. It will be as if the world is reversed. That is the future of the USA.

We'll survive through adapting our skills and encouraging growth of native industries that cannot easily be outsourced.
The outsourcing problem is not as severe as it seems. The idea of losing a good-paying job is a scary proposition, especially when that job is sent oveseas, never to return. However, estimates of outsourcing place it as being responsible for about 4% of the current unemployment, so it's not nearly as large a problem as many believe.
It's also not a new phenomenon. American jobs were outsourced to Japan, China, Indonesia, Mexico, Venezuela and Honduras long before the tech sector opened up in Hyderabad. This has nothing to do with whoever is in office. What are they going to do - tell companies they can't fire people here or hire people overseas?
And there's some reason to believe that the trend of moving high-tech jobs to India is slowing. For one, try as they might, there's still a language and etiquette barrier (try calling the Sallie Mae or Dell help desks in India). For another, the wage differential is no longer as appealing. Pay has more than tripled in India in the outsourced sectors over the past 10 years.
Want to stay protected? Work in an advanced field, in medicine, or in a business services industry (a CPA in Delhi will never replace a CPA in New York).

I'm in the USA. I cant' figure out why, if I have a bad credit issue with a company in the US, do I get a call from India from a person who I can't understand at all on the phone.....which I guess is really just as good cuz I can just keep going "huh? huh? huh?"
Anyway they're outsourcing because they can pay lower wages to the employees over there. Lots of people have lost jobs and it's sad.

I would say the future is pretty bright.
Outsourcing jobs that can be done elsewhere has numerous benefits to the American economy. Reduced costs of production allows a company to focus on it's core competencies and provide a competitive priced product. The excess liquidity and higher productivity gets re-invested and more jobs are produced as a result.

tha depends on who you ask,
many sociologists and historians are worried when they look at our country today. almost all the warning signs are there for a declining civilization. the rising gap between upper and lower class, and yet the middle class is dissappearing.
we are no longer a producing country, instead we've become a country of desk jobs that require much higher eduaction.
and the fact is not everyone is highly educated which means we could soon find that there are no labor jobs left for those who are not so -- education -inclined. and those people will come to rely even more on a government who does have the funds to take care of them.
scarey isnt it?

Though many high-paying jobs are going to countries with cheaper labor, you can't completely eliminate jobs. Some jobs have to stay close to home, such as some foods, cleaners, clercks, and small buisiness employees. If this goes too far, people may protest and something may be done.

Our economy is going to hell under this Pres. Jobs are outsourced and cheap labor is allowed in. The working class is being squeezed to the limit.
